Awwww DC thats ace!!!! - I left my 'orginal one' when I accidentally lost my husband - we've got into a tradition of dressing up anything vaguely tree like in December in the house - thank goodness peedie doesnt look like a tree!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Peedie update
Not had one for a while.............:) We are so in a tight, but different place to last year financially!! (Small steps)
Money - HMMM gargamel has been snuck into to pay OH's flight - but he's putting *some* money into the bank today so I should be able to put some money back into gargamel
(I love that I am an interest free online banking, shopping and flight service - thank goodness his ADS card (air discount scheme) came - he's allowed one now he's almost moved up - it gives a 40% discount on rather extortionate flights.
Need to manage money with an eagle eye this month as I don't have both lodgers paying in Dec (ones using her deposit/other is having a rent holiday as she's away home for 6 weeks) so I am 'down' by £600
On the other hand - bills *should* be less and there's plenty of good cheer around
Must book ferry fro trip south now so its paid and look when January's pay goes in the bank
Lots of rodents/birds/fish and actual food in the freezer so spends shouldnt be too bad, just need to make sure we use up what's there and check out what we need to add to a xmas food stash whilst we are filling our faces
I think the car need brakes done so need to phone about this - argh.
Hey ho - things will be fine I think but I need to keep a weathered eye on the budget.
I do have £150 worth of wii games (rock band etc) that I bought from a pals son. It was easier to buy the lot to have one bit of it - but there's three other complete games with bits I don't need - various chums have said they are interested for xmas - so I need ot make sure I get of my backside, email the chums and post the stuff (and get back the cash).............
DD and I have just negotiated an allowance for her - in exchange for chores etc - she never wants much but needs a bit more money independance - need to take that money 'out' of my budget so I don't think its there, but my own DD related spends will go down as she'll be responsible for all her clubs etc.
Gulp - also need to think about a cello in January...................most of the money is in the bank!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

that's a pretty significant update. makes me wish i had a diary so i could do updates like that but i'm happy with my signature anouncing all to the world. Think i shall explain to both OH and myself that this is the month to really eat the food up in the freezer. We spent quite a lot last weekend as we had lidl vouchers and i have some asda vouchers which should cover other bits and bobs which are essential but if we can not spend the rest of the food money that will be great.0

Get yourself a diary LT! EVERYONE says so!
Well done Fay, you're doing grand with the money update, even if it seems like it's leaching out all over the place at the minute...
Our Christmas tree is ancientWell, my parents bought it when they married in 1979, so it's just about older than me. I've got it now cos nobody else wants it, lol! It's very 70s, quite small, but thin and pointy. Made up of lots of different bits that all look the same and end up all over the cellar and under the sofa cushions, so tree gets barer and barer each year, and we spend til about April every year finding bits of tree under carpets and behind curtains
Last couple of years we have also had 'mystic branch' which we've ceremonially cut from the woods (or the garden...). Last year's mystic branch never got taken down, and has jewelry and birds (not real ones!) etc hanging on it, as well as fairy lightsIdea was to change with the seasons, but we didn't, but it's starting to look all Christmassy again now
Just been polishing stripey socks - PhD viva is tomorrow afternoon! Aarrgghhh! Could well be Dr Daffs by this time tomorrow (or thrown out of the university in disgrace, one of the two, lol!) Feeling relatively calm about it all at the minute, sure it won't last... Will make sure have stripey socks and stripey knickers on for good luck
Anyway, on a cheery note, just sent a booking request to head northwards on a catameran in the near future - yippee!!0 -
good luck Cheery, definately need strips for luck. we'll keep our fingers crossed for you.
I've just finished my chrissy shopping online, Thorntons 18% cashback via quidco, CD Wow 10% cash back via quidco. Games workshop - no cashback booooooooo!
I've changed my signature and also added the sum we need to save to cover maternity leave if i happen to become avec sproglet.
ps can't start a diary, i'd get evicted pretty quickly, and i can't even think of a title which is whitty and says it all.0
