Re cards - they can be as cheap or as expensive as you like in reality. It's just time which always make things like that a labour of love. Plus if you enjoy doing that sort of stuff you don't mind. How many are you thinking that you'll need?

Will consult my spreadsheet - argue with OH over it all weekend and then do as I please :D

I am thinking possibly 20-30 but not sure yet. (OH and I are both from big families) and I seem to like collecting lots of friends - I think he's got 2 or 3 at the most

I am greedy and have quite a few more than that - pity we're all so spread out though! (:DI count you lot as chums too :D)

  • Oh I saw somewhere a peedie invite tied to a leaf - it was gorgeous - kinda like a posh old fashioned suitcase label with raffia or string - will try and find a photo.....................

I didn't know there was a Ritz there too :rotfl:

But as I love Edinburgh then yeah ok :D

The new black & white stripey's are on today...feel like a puzzcat with stripey paws :D

    Well done on the socks

I checked with the Ritz they didn't allow wellies - was thinking of afternoon tea at the Botanic Garden in Edinburgh followed or preceded or slapped between two walks.

    Wellies compulsary.

I'd rather hoped you'll all find santa being nice to you and now that have wellies on your xmas list - eh hens??? :D

Otherwise I am going to have to start posting MORE wellies around, there are indeed orcadian wellies in London now although I don't know how they are getting on with the london accent:rotfl:

Gulp - in between writing rubbish about plantation siting ;) I have just got brave and emailed my 'best girl' to ask if she will be just that 'my best girl'

She's a big fan of cartwheels - so I am thinking a bridal cartwheel may be appropriate - I may need to practise!!!!

PS my sock stash is growing and it's excited about the forthcoming santa visit whereby socks will be despatched around the isles....:)

I live practically in the centre of London! If I ask Father Christmas (no Santa here, thank you :p) for wellies he'll think I've gone mad! :rotfl:

Good luck with your cartwheels - make sure you have nice knickers on ;)

    your invite idea sounds fab.

just some more picking of brains, so if it was paid toward the end of Nov does that mean i should get paid it in Dec? would be great if that's the case.

potentially good news here - the to do with upstairs neighbour may have started some balls rolling because alledgedly the twonk upstairs who refused to do the porch is going to do it himself over christmas. No consultation, no warning, no telling us how much our share is, and i'll believe it when he's finished the job. Gonna send him an email as i'd like to know what's happening about the guttering etc as this is more pressing for us. I'm happy the porch is being done but we could do without the cost.
  • LT - it should get paid in December then!!

Glad upstairs folks are starting to sort their act out.

HB - don't you have puddles in London? HOw do you splash in them WITHOUT wellies - surely your shoes get all wet when puddle splashing??

Fay, from my terrifying visits to London i can tell you splashing in puddles is frowned upon unless you're some posh car and can soak a poor pedestrian during the process.
