Just unlurking to say good luck to DD with the orchestra - did lots of similar things when I was younger and auditions are scary but a great experience playing with groups like that.

Good luck with the Welliefest plans too :)

Hey redsquirrel - first one I've seen this year!!

Thanks - she's a fairly good cellist (her teacher says and is on grade 5) and she's a joy to watch but becoming more nervous by the day as the teen years tick on., she's just 13 and a stripe.

I hope she's OK - I think it might be fun for her, thanks again :A

    Debt-free and Proud!
I will definitely second the fun of internet banking - I spent my lunchbreak today playing with the snowball calculator and trying to work out if I walked to my new job and eat the free lunch how much quicker I could be debt free...6 weeks!!!

I used to spend it online shopping...but this in much more entertaining! :D

Fay, that dinner set sounds like a terrible oversight...how could it have happened?

    lol to the carelessness!

*and* to the sock hunt! But you know what really happens, don't you? They fall through a hole in the space time continuum, and enter into another dimension. The 11th, if I remember correctly :D

I do believe when I purchased by 32 piece aubergene dinner set (8 each of gorgeous deeply purple flawless peedie and big plates, bowls, mugs) I was indeed in that 11th dimension where odd socks are known to occur

Indeed in the 11th dimension - whilst frequenting the quidconian zone in the ebayaronian sector - the misshap occured due to the extreme shock experienced when the chap emailed me today to say that not only would he indeed send the gorgeous aubergenian plates up to orkney (he'd even heard of it) - there was also no extra charge :rotfl:

    I'm dreaming of a purple xmas :)

I have just laughed out loud at this thread... really loudly... and have tears of laughter too... I need to go home now before my office mates have me committed! :o I'm not sure explaining the 11th dimension/ ebayaronian sector/sock monster would convince them of my sanity so I'm making a break for it while I can... :rotfl:

    *runs away... still laughing* :rotfl:
