    Its my own fault -

    Er, no it isn't!

It is their's for being unthinking, rude or whatever.

A friend of mine had a similar issue once, they put up some friends of a friend for a wedding and the people staying with them got them nothing - didn't even buy them a drink at the wedding or anything. My friend was really cross about this, she has a nice house but they are mortgaged up to the hilt so would have appreciated any small gesture.

But regardless of how much or how little money, your hosts have - you should treat them fairly!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Holy carp, cheeky fec kers, hope their dangly bits drop off!! Things like that make me really mad, hope they'll go back to mummy and daddy and tell them, and the parents will shame them into sending you a big cheque. I'd be so embarrassed to know them.

Sorry to have made you guys cross!

Used the voucher and got £67 worth of stuff for their contribution by getting bogoffs whilst still cross to make sure I got the best deals - so not so bad really - and put a few more chrissy pressies away and lots of frozen things in the freezer (non native bird)

OH put some money into account to say have a chinese on me - :)

LT I know what you mean my edna payments are only OK cos they are there as a reserve if I need them, will struggle to keep up pad's

    For (LT) OH:j

    Good on OH!!!

So this lot are in their 20s, and each living with their mum and dad? Hmmm.... but Makeup up at the top there has a good point - its not your fault! No matter how young, no matter you didn't sort it before, if you know somebody does something professionally, you don't offer them 20% of their very reasonable rates - you offer them 80% or something! I'm having a rant!!!!! of my own at the mo!!!!!! so there'll be a lot of this !!!!!!

KK yeah but he worked with OH previously and was on a very nice salary - so tbh no excuse really

Was trying to be nice! Rant away saves me doing it.:rotfl:

OH is off to have a 'word' in a mo.

Something about single parents, friends respecting folks space, NOT deserving home baking and generally being a pair of blaggards.
