Hi Fay
Just catching up with you diary. Wow - what a rollercoaster you have been on.
Sending you lots of hugs - don't forget there's a whole load of us who think you rock!!!!
Enjoy the DVD

p.s. I even have stripes on the underside of my socks - not bold enough to wear them for all to see!!0 -
My OH says thank you everyone, i made him come and look at the smileys as well
I've been brave and done my first Quidco transaction - house insurance, quote was £100 less than my renewal quote plus £80 back from Quidco in 4 months if it all went well. Keep your fingers crossed, i never really believe that such things will work out for me even though they work for others.0 -
Well done Lemon Tree!
Fay, I can't believe your 'guests'! How exceptionally rude. Did they think you were just having them to stay for the good of your health?? Glad you managed to get a decent amount out of their voucher thoughShame they'll never get such another lovely holiday again in their entire lives though
And don't let it put you off having folk to stay, you obviously love it!And it CERTAINLY isn't your fault
But like you say, perhaps now you can say 'I've had a bad experience in the past, so I'm afraid I need to agree rates upfront'.
Hope OH bangs their heads together
And I don't know how on earth I forgot this earlier... but my head has been completely befuddled for months. Turns out I've got Graves Disease (not suggesting you have!). Anyway, as soon as they gave me beta blockers, I instantly felt betterWas a bit wary of taking them, but they have completely revolutionised how I've felt these past few weeks, and have let me get on with writing
Am on other tablets too now, which have made me feel even better. Didn't realise how bad I must have felt in the first place, lol!
Anyway, black socks with sparkly pink stripes today, and lovely new red hush puppies, and red corderoy trousers - I am proper academic and look a right sight!
Sleep well...

LT well done on the quidco thing, its worked for me in the past
another smilie for OH
Daff - you do make me smile - well done on a seriously bright sounding outfit - my DD would love you - she is all things colourful
I LOVE having folks to stay - so don't worry it won't put me off - but this is the first time I;ve had someone who wasnt a 'full stranger paying guest' but not a chum. I think you are right, I can now say 'sorry to sort it out now, but had a bad experinece before' It's so silly when I knew I'd roughly had been happy with anything over £60 or so - but I didn't have the confidence to say it.
Interesting what you are saying, works a bit strange at the moment - my director came to me yesterday at 2pm and asked me to put together a sysnopsis of the project to date with a few key results and all to fit on an A4 page (harder than it sounds) and oh yeah - he wants it this morning.
No pressure eh, we have high up bods from the Forestry arriving on Tuesday and this is what they've requessted - he needs to give it to them today.
I didnt work on it last night - probably should have but thought to myself um NO - you should have asked me sooner than 'drop everything and do this mode'.
I am beginning to panic about the writing again, but I do need to get over it. Will look up what you just mentioned. In all honesty I have wondered about something to help calm me down (I normally use rescue remedy) but I think at the end of my last write up I was beginning to have panic attacks. (I hear a brown paper bag over your head does the trick - oh sorry I think you just breathe into it)
SAAS sent me a rather large cheque (well somehow they sent it to OH's house which WASNT on the form???????) so I have to order and buy all the equipment they recommended. Which is great
Although all that money hitting my bank account - not for me and to be used straight away - to a recommended supplier - no chance for cash back etc - argh! I feel bad not putting it to work properly!

Fay, I'm so glad things are on the up - sorry you've got that writing assignment, but your reaction to it sounds great, much more self assured - and yes, the panic attacks thing is breathing *into* a paper bag
it doesn't have to be brown tho
Hope the writing goes well this morning, and thanks for posting on mine yesterday.

Oh Fay, I laughed at you wanting to put that money to work in an MSE way
Well done
But don't fuss about it, just get it spent on what you need to.
And I reckon allocate a set amount of time to this paper this morning - say an hour and a half, and ONLY spend that on it, then go away and have a cuppa for half an hour, then go back to it, only for half an hour to tidy up the last bits. Then send it, and if they don't like it, then it's tough and they should have done it themselves.0 -
Daff thank you - sensible girl - I know what you mean
Karmacat - OK so don't 'wear' the paper bag on head - breathe into it - (just being silly) - hope you are a bit more up today and a bit less ggrrish at relliesTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Just had to speak to evil ex hubby
Renewing passports for kids and just come to realise that when he 'accidentally' took my passport, my driving licence, my birth certificate and the kids birth certificates when he left us - he obviously 'accidentally' took all my details to make sure he could get the kids passports of their own all those years ago. But left me scratching my head as to where on earth they had all 'gone' and having to fork out to replace them.
Accidental can be changed to 'stolen' - he makes me so cross with his better than you attitude - he's a pig. (Sorry thats an insult to pigs - if he were a fabric he'd be those old tatty nylon sheets that irritate you.)
Sorry for the vent. His absolute cold hearted calculated actions are just beginning to sink in  and on his damn website, covered with my kids photos (and all the other kids) its portrayed as one big happy family pah pah pah - lying toady folk.
Rant over - away to work productively.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
