  • My stripey socks are indeed in place and fine

My iphone however blew and I mean BLEW out of my hand when I tried to answer it and now has a smashed screen - oh Joy

On the other hand work finished in 3-4 hours and getting paid for 2 days - which feels a bit cheeky - hope all in well - snuck into internet place to charge up phone and catch up on 'online life'

Booked a flat in a big house for the weekend and was not looking forward to it - staying with OH's parents.

However, flat people rang to say could we possible consider 2 flats instead of the big one as they have a booking they want to move around to keep - he he he - same price - 2 flats means inlaws will be in different flat at least.

    Deep joy

Muse tickets came (I have been informed) and I need to draft up lease for German student as she has decided she's happy to stay.

now get this straight young lady - flowers are not a waste!

at least if you're putting the money aside you can pay it off when your expenses come in, and it's there just in case you need it.

    Two points well made

My M&S lillies came :jjust talked to SIL about weekend plans - its all go - got 3 bikes in the car - got a bit of baking to do - and most of the food box is sorted.

Just informed MIIL by email that we WILL NOT be going to the supermarket on Saturday during the day - as us 4 are off on our bikes.

Printed out tenancy arrangement with new lodger sign tomorrow - got a room to make up and sort out for OH's pals coming back with us on Sunday.

    Got pack
Fill in and get check passport forms (might do forms on boat)
    [STRIKE]Ferry booked
    Kids to pack[/STRIKE]
Wee book to wrap for the tiddler - ask dd in am
Do my hair with hair stuff as my grey is reappearing - do first thing :)
Hoover room - ask cleaner she's much better at it than me
    Towel to move from balcony
    [STRIKE]Tidy/dust clean room[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Do windows
    Febreeze the curtains etc[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Make bed for them
    Move into study - sniff[/STRIKE]

    Cant think what else now..........

    Deep joy am cream crackered.

    Hi all
Am back and am cream crackered!

And spent far too much in Mr T

but needed some household things whilst on the mainland and also made sure spends were over £50 to get my 5p off a litre to top up petrol going down and then again on the way back up

Olds gave me £40 for cottage (total 120 for weekend)
    Oh gave me £60

I brought food from home and no one offered to help with that - but I fed all 6 of us out of the cupboards and we didn't eat out :)

Got some xmas pressies and some extra food for the people who came to stay last night - they seem nice and thus far just cereal and toast for brekkie.

Will do tea for us all tonight - pasta with the bacon I cooked just in case they wanted any - lol -

Otherwise am bit down TOTM I think is to blame - OH is a bit all over place with work and we've had a few almighty rows about locations for jobs he's applied for.

I should be more sympathetic and supportive, instead I am sullen and sulky when he mentions jobs in the central belt and living in Orkney being similar to 'being in prison' (in his words). I have to live here for at least another 5 years - I quite like it here but his attitude towards it is making me miserable.

DD away on a school outdoor trip

My SAAS award has been approved for a laptop etc to help with my studies.

Otherwise aside feeling like I spent far too much when away and a bit bah humbug - life is OK I guess.

Needing to watch the payments to Evil Edna as the spends away were not lots but enough to have me worried:

    £110 ferry
£90 petrol but have a full tank still and much cheaper than here
£120 cottage but got £100 that back (GUESS THAT MAKES MY BIT £20)
Tesco spends (non petrol) .£106 ish
    Book shop spends £19.50
    Corner shop spends about £5

    ARGHGHGHGHGHG

    Total trip cost - 110+20+40+40 = 210
    Could have been worse.
