Hi L - waves - Edna is still getting £10 a day - not sure I can keep it up this month, but if I get my expenses from work and the lodger does sign a lease then I might be able to keep it up
Already 21 days into paying her off and that means £210 in my savings account for her - and I wonder why I am broke
Seriously need to attack the freezer and make sure we don't spend too much more this month.

HI Fay
Looks like you're making strides in the right direction.
Look forward to hearing about the Darwin talk. Watching Uncle Buck with OH and lodger. Have found a brilliant lodger. Am so luck. Was so worried too!
Take care,

Urg - thanks - when are the interviews - ?
Glad you have found a nice lodger - our new girl seems lovely and friendly and chatty too
My other lodger is lovely but its like living with a mouse, we never see her and I thought to begin with that we might become friends but she's very seperate from us - don't get me wrong she's lovely but I don't see her more than once a month or so (wierd eh?) and I don't know her any better now than I did in January.
So hows the wedding plans coming?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

HI Fay,
I have one interview on Friday. I don't really want it for a number of reasons. Firstly it is a maternity post and I am not sure that my workplace will release me as a secondment (they don't like to develop staff) and I can't risk taking the job and not having a job at the end. Secondly, I came second the last time that they advertised the post and it feels like I haven't moved on at all. Thirdly, I think the manager has someone else in mind (a really good friend of mine!). Fourthly, I really want to leave the institution - I have had enough of its politics and am convinced that my face no longer fits. Finally, I am really hoping that I will get an interview for a job at another place - it's ideal and I can do about 80% of the job. Really hoping I'll get an interview.
It's a shame about your lodger - my last lodger kept to himself and I found that a bit strange. This one just fits in really well. She sits and watches telly with me and it's really spooky how similar we are. I really believe that she and I will be very good friends.
Wedding planning has taken a bit of a backseat as OH has been focussing on his mum (she was unwell). I am going to get back on track and look at photographers this week. Next week will be stuff for the venue and identifying a priest.
Don't tell OH - but right now, his idea of running away to Vegas seems very tempting!
How are yours coming _ I try to keep up but your thread moves so fast!

Urg I hope the second job really comes through for you - you deserve to have some luck and development in your job - and its good to be challenged.
New lodger girls seems she will be nice company - so I hope this week we can finalise something for her
We have 'wireless' issues - big house - she's at the opposite end of the house with her laptop trying to skype most nights - so its not great as it keeps cutting in and out for her. Trying to resolve it - but not really found a solution yet.
Will be walking a tightrope this month with all of this extra expense - but all in all we are managing to pay some off evil edna - now under 800and manage some 'albeit ridiculus' treats for the kids.
Trying to see if I can sneak to shetland this week to make 2 extra days money.
All counts
Boots voucher to think about £5 off No7 - choice is so limited here the only thing under a fiver I can see is face wipes (which I dont need) the cheapest nail polish is 6.55 - not sure if I should just post it on to someone?
Also got some extra clubcard points to get put on and check if my purchases lately have gone on.
Wedding plans, um we know what we want - might try for Feb if OH job sorts itself out - he still doesnt know if he is being made redundant.
Humanist ceremony - must set up a meeting with someone about it, outdoors - family/friends weekend thing - small and intimate - wellies compulsary
Waves to you all - very windyhere today - going to a lecture about Darwin laterTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

hi, back online after a weekend of ups and downs.
Sat we got the new fireplace fitted and it's fab, the look of the room has changed completely. Just waiting for the piano to go to it's new foster home and then we can open it up even more.
Yesterday we were suposed to get the carpenter here to change 3 doors but he turned up only to say his wife was ill so we've got to wait another couple of weeks, I have sympathy but we've booked leave so we can get them painted and be here when he comes so it's a bi frustrating and it means we've also got 3
doors in the living room taking up space.
today i've managed to get free tickets to the cinema, a film i want to see, not sure about OH but it's free so what more can you ask? plus i've got my £50 natwest bonus which i didn't trust we would get, and they hadn't told me they've given me. Just need Martin to find some more deals like that, it was an easy bonus to get to be honest. So that's another £50 off the diavalo loan. i can't believe how i've managed to save so much against it so quickly.
sorry for such a long me me me post0 -
LT - wow lots going on and amazing that you can pay off so much from the loan
- not me me me - just very exciting even if a bit frustrating for you with the carpenter.
ME - am going to Shetland again on Wednesday (work for anohter project at work which means getting paidshould make enough to cover the concert tickets and some of the airfare for DS birthday treat
Went to Boots to use No7 £5 off voucher - scammed 3/2 from No7 and spent enough to get a free gift bag full of goodies worth £28another one for the pressie box
and ANOTHER £5 off voucher - lol
Will check out boots in Shetland for the other voucher as our Boots is lovely but tiny.
