  • Just thinking of putting together a sort of 'fun starter pack' for DD xmas

If you have a whole room full of stuff I'd rather buy some from a fellow DFW'r than a shop- ever thought of making up packs for selling on ebay? Extra income?

Hugs ! You are ace for offering :)

Like everygood scientist I have painted my toe nails each a garrish colour - washed my hair ready for straightening, looked out the serious science specs and the killer heels - and reviewed my long presentation putting my supervisor-who-dumped-me-in-it's slides at hte back of my presentation incase I go over so I can leave his slides out.

Cheerio chaps - into the breach in the morning :)

Ah more self preservation than sexy - if you ever met me you'd know I am more of a earth covered monster than 'sexy' lol. x

Morning all - I started the small things thread today - woo hoo the place has been such an inspriation for me and such a source of friendship and support from all you lovely DFW'rs that its so lovely that I have managed to do it even just one time.

This little group has really changed our lives and for once - at least financially I am in control.

We have alot of big spends in September - passports need renewed (Dad's not quite remembered to cough up the cash yet - what is it with financial amensia in ex husbands?)

He seems to remember the childrens names but forgets they need things like food and clothes if he wants to continue to talk to them on the phone as fresh air isn't great at providing either.

The following is not a moan merely a random head dump of what's happenning this month

September random kid and family expenses (NOT food etc and things vital for life):

DD trip to Hoy for an outdoor week at school (£50)
Baby naming cereomny next week (200-300) gulp
DD trip for orchestra training (£50)
    DS payment for Switzerland trip (67 - over 10 months - 670)
DD been asked to attend an audition for the Scottish Youth Orchestra -dunno cost implications yet
DD also applying for her next grade (5 on cello) - um about another £50
BOOK - DS birthday amazing trip to see a concert birthday and xmas pressie for the next 300 years - tickets 150, flights 200 etc - pressie for poor folks left looking after the dogs and the DD
DD normally has private piano lessons, but her cello is kicking in big style for all this extra work so perhaps there isnt time at the mo for it (saves 50 a month) but will talk to her about it

Why am I trying to save money again - whenever I get any robbers come and take it all away

    Extra income in Sept
Extra work in Shetland (unexpected) 2 days - £300
    Quidco ?
Folks coming for a mini-break - OH has asked them to give us Tesco gift card (use for food less pressure if they hand over lots of cash expecting a full B&B experience - my best rooms are used by students so they are having my room and I am moving into the study for 3 days )
Lodger new girlie should sign lease - give deposit and rent for the first month so that should be about 300 + 300
STILL waiting for expenses from work - £350
Need to claim for £150 for another trip away and petrol for field trial work
    Must redo house insurance (quidco)
Looking to transfer energy provider (quidco)

Breathe deeply and say it will all be OK

  • Waves to L - hows life - as you can see ours is um hectic
Mind on before this site it would all just be squeezed on CC's and eyes shut tight and ignore hte demand letters - at least its progress - STILL no money but at least the extra work helps take up a bit of the strain :)

Raining here - gggggrrrrrrr lots to do outside - pah - DS and I may end up doing logs in the rain

Just about to rubberify a chicken
Roasted one earlier during cake baking

    Roast dinner
    Chicken cous cous
Chicken omlette or chicken fried rice
    Chicken + veg soup

    Any other ideas?
