OH dept being 'folded' at his place of employment - been many redundancies previously with their dept unaffected until now.

He's a bit shell shocked - one month review then potentially one months notice.

    Will this madness ever end?

Emailed a few renewable energy companies here - might help - but he's not holding out much hope, he wanted to be debt free by xmas - hes only got a loan and a couple CC's which he has been paying off. His mortgage is quite small - but he's really worried

What can I do to help - not much at all - told him he's always welcome here and one household expense better than two - but he says its not a long term solution.

Pah to redundancies and things like that.

    Hugs to OH

    :TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!
  • I am glad I think, it makes for a busy house - but then again - it makes for debts being paid as well - so can't complain.

thanks fay, but i think i've put everything i can against it this month will have to wait until pay day.
I'm so kicking myself. a while ago OH insisted on getting a wireless printer, my printer was ok and i had a few cartridges for it so i've been using them up. I freecycled the printer on sunday and am trying to use the bloomin wireless one now and it's the worst thing in living history. It worked perfectly fine when we first used it but it's been ages and now it's taking half an hour to get nowhere, it's still sending the picture! i so wish i'd kept the old one!
  • I was more thinking evil enda nurse :) good luck today

duh! i'm so stupid. evil edna nurse was semi human and mentions congnative behaviour therapy but i don't know if she's going to speak to the doctor about it or do nothing about it, i'm so useless at asking questions. I did at least mention the attitude of the last doctor i visited which made me feel better.
what are your plans for this weekend? OH is off work so is currently catching up on sleep. I'm scheming so that we don't eat out as it's something we're really guilty of when he's off on a weekend. If i can get him to eat before we go out that will be a start, and i've got meat defrosting so it will make us less likely to say sod it and have a meal out.

sounds like a lovely weekend. Hope the news is good with OH but maybe this would be the push he needs ??
  • Just watching school of rock - aside the killer engineer job - I think I am actually marrying the character in School of Rock

    Here's the evidence

    Several guitars
    Killer music attitude
    Unkempt appearance
The 'stick it to the man' attitude

He's just bought a purple transit van

    Am I marryiing Jack Black???

    Movie started at 8pm

8.06 OH texted 'I am not Jack Black' - guilty concious or what????

    Made us all giggle :)

Waves to all a wet, windy sunny and non-descript day here today done a pile of batch cooking, walked doggies, PAD to edna and just generally slobbed

    :)
