good news about the loan i can't wait to be down to the last 10days on mine, watch this space this time next year.
Glad the assessment went well even if it took it out of you, maybe you'll actually get somewhere.
i was told yesterday that there's no point me looking at a house as our flat is worth even less than i thought it was and it just won't sell at the moment which is what i suspected. Bit of a bu99er really but hey just have to get on with it and make the best of what we have.
  • Brill news on the loan Fay. OOh a refund on tickets? Or have i mis read that?

UM NO - hoping my evil ex husband DOES not get a refund on his 'unaccompanied minor tickets' - and YES I am that evil :) - planning with DS and DD about accidentally picking them up from the airport at edinburgh to see them early :) and have some adventures

Urg I get the assessment on Wednesday I think - got a meeting with the head lady at Aberdeen tomorrow.

LT - bummer - chin up sounds like the economy is starting to slightly pick up?
Urg - hug hope you feel better soon

i think realistically i'm going to have to accept that we're here for the next 2 - 3 years, so i've 'told' OH we're making the best of what we have even if it will take a little bit of money
  • Hello all
sorry internet been a bit absent over past few days - but Hi to all - nothing much to report - still SOOTH as need to go into Aberdeen again next week.

    More training and more meetings.

Waves to all - away to attack OH bedroom with new curtains and a final lick of paint on the skirting boards so I can shift him back through to the big bedrrom and attack the small bedroom

And as he says - the arrangement is that he's paying me - so as much as I do enjoy DIY - I am also making enough to pay the other half of my darwin garage bill. Progress :)

Another enquiry from a student for my room from September to May next year - exchange student again - so that might work in perfectly!

    I hope.

Missing home a bit but thankfully OH lives on the coast so I am getting plenty of beach action with the dogs :)

House seems fine up north, pal popping into water plants etc - and announced she's left a bag of stuff for DS - well TWO bin bags of clothes - I love this kind of clothes shopping :)

Need to do some more shopping for my storecupboard and stock up things down here.

    Hugs and waves :)

Moring LT and the world in general (not that I expect the world to be reading my diary you understand but hello planet anyway.)

Next.........................thinking of tackling the Lloyds OD - it costs and is useful BUT it costs - I am constantly in and upto my limits on both my OD's and the RBS one is free but the Lloyds one isnt.

Lloyds OD ?% but its high - £1000

    RBS OD 0% - £1000

Lloyds loan - £1333.72 - they will charge me for paying this off early - so will leave this alone the interest rate is miniscule as it was a graduate loan with a special rate....

Loan from penguin chops - interest free - £2755 - he continues to annoy me so he can wait

Firstcredit interest free - from mastercard - 2780.78 - they keep offering deals so will see.

Student loan - 13772 - yeah thats right and large and I AM IN DENIAL. No action on that.

So......................................what do you think.................if I tackle the OD from Lloyds it keeps that 1000 in reserve I guess as a resource just in case - I did wonder about paying it off and seeing what kind of a full and final I can get from Firstcredit - last time they offered a reduction of 30% but I wasn't in a position to take it

BUT if I pay off my OD from Lloyds but keep it as a resource and bill for the Shetland work - then MAYBE - I can afford a full and final from first credit (although that is 0% - if I can get a decent full and final.....)

BUT that means if I did that, the lloyds OD account would be getting interest again - BUT maybe less than the discount from Firstcredit......................

Any thoughts or answers on a post card?

Away to email nice german student who is looking to be in our house for 6 months - ie.....6 months x £75 a week - that would be a loan paid off ........

Am I sad and sentimental that I am a bit sorry old fluffy pants is gone - I am happy but a bit - OK wow and sorry to see him disappear in the manner of an old chum.

or maybe an albatross around my neck...........

The next villian needs a decent name - Lloyds overdraft isnt really very vicious sounding............

LT yay to tomatoes and everything is white - and even some of it is on the walls :)
