  • Morning CHEV - nice to see you :) you will be heading into summer? As we head into the dark grey dreich days that approach us for winter - its a grey grey day here

Straight back from the bank of evilness - (both of them well virtually anyway) RBS fluffy mcduffy is gone

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

EVIL EDNA is about to have her ariels removed - we begin tomorrow :)

Will move DD's over from that account and use payment a days and any extra money that goes in there to help reduce the witch of evilness.

Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Is it gone yet? Is it gone yet?

Just popping in to say well done on the loan!!!!!!!:j:j:j:j

You asked on the daily thread whether I got the job - I didn't - got more applications to do this weekend!

  • Peedie update here..........well not very peedie - skip it if bored :)

Life resumes into chaos as the younglings are again home woo hoo
School starts again on Tuesday - one in 2nd year, one in 4th year - argh.
Hairy mclairy is now extinct he is an ex loan :) amazing how that feels
Oil money is needing to go up to pay for our consumption so will move that DD into my RBS account and use a bit of the ex-mclairy money to up it a bit - if I use it whilst I am not use to having it I won't notice where its gone - so it needs to be used only for good and not for bad evil things like buying flowers and knicknacks :)
Electricity dd has gone down for now by a tenner - so that money will go into the EVIL EDNA and hopefully our electric consumptioin will stay down.
Edna I think has 100 days - maximum - £10 a day will kill her - and extra money in the account for dog sitting and other things should help nail her too - student money need to think about - depends if we get an extra girl in again - 2 students in here = NO RENT for me more money to shove at debts

Hoose and hame are grand, kids fine, chickens still sulking, potatoes rocketing along, courgettes a bit squishy but OK - tomatoes are causing concern - billions of flowers and no (well maybe 5 tomatoes) - 50 plants ????????? Someat is up - will consult the books later or ask from a tomato guru on here
French student with us til Sept 1st - then she is away home - she's great and been a lovely companion through the summer without kid madness
We might have a german lassie coming in Sept for 6 months - not sure yet

    PhD
Ok so far the outcome of all the meetings in Aberdeen are that I am to have alot of extra technical help ie software etc and a ?/nnew ??? laptop with all mod cons (makes the tea, meal plans etc)
I have 3 people that will help me with tutorials for the newly discovered dyslexic me (one assistive info-technology nice chap) one specialist in dyselxic studies and learners and one lady who specialises in critical thinking and developing writing skills.
    GO ME!!!!
I have met all these people already and had a few sessions with each of them - I can go up and down to Aberdeen if I can manage or want to - or I can email/phone/VC in with these folks for a session with them. (jumps up and down - training at last and support)
3/5 people I have had some interaction with regarding my assessment have dyslexia and assure me they dont have 2 heads, nor a nasty disease and are actually very good at their jobs :)
There is a nice lady now advising my supervisors who is 'in charge' of the process

I am to use the support and advice of these folks, some new technology which I know how to use now, my developing thinking will be nicely guided along to develop my own clear critical thinking which I should be able to express more fully (I hope)

My supervisors still dont speak my language but have listened - so now I have been told I am to be directly sueprvised by the chap in Ab not the evil twit who is with me at the momment.

I have 3 months to write a large section (Agronomy) of my literature review again to the standard they hope to be able to upgrade me - challenging but at least I get to say exactly what I was trying to say.

3 months time (not sure of the date yet) I will be examined again with all the protocol in place
Then we alll make a decision as to the way forward - if its a PhD I get longer - if its not a PhD I will get til 2010 to write up the work to date or longer if I can argue the case

Means I guess I will work with fresh eyes, some help (and supervision....??????? new concept) and see if I want to continue as well.

For all of you who supported me and helped me see through the tears and the madness - and nudged me along with the 'right' kind of questions to ask - I salute you.

Have a good day Fay, great to see such positive moves :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Wrote a long reply and it went

    In a nutshell

I am sooooooo pleased for you :j- you have got what you have always wanted. The right support for you, the right supervisor and a fighting chance to be a Doctor of Flowers. :T

Well done for sticking with it - it's been a really hard journey for you and I can see why others might have given up.:A

    Lots of love

Raid from the charity shops was successful
