  • The only *extra* ingredients in the meatballs are a dodgy looking bread roll, 2 bendy mushrooms and a very dodgy looking carrot.

They are wild bird free meatballs. Honest guv.....................no road kill, or anything:A

  • I used our own grown oats (cos we are very very DFW and got some oats from work which were free - there are few perks the job - but free oats, barely straw sometimes and various bits of farm stuff can be borrowed)
    - so mines are very very special (look seee they vanished?!!!!
    - not a beak insight Well unless you count the childrens ones in the jar.............

Lovely bird man collected the jacksnipe yesterday - my ID was correct woo hoo

Means though i am a bird down...........will put beachcombing on my DFW small things list for this coming week.

As Janey stays on a hunting/fishing lodge who knows what we will come back with.

The boy child caught a beautiful trout last time we were there, he was dead chuffed.

Speaking of dead things if you think I am odd - Janey very proudly showed us the stags that had been shot and were hanging in the garage next to her house - her only words were 'brace yourself we are about to look at supper!!!!!!'

ok can someone please give me the recipe for hobnobs ...i want some now ...el stamps foot like a spoiled child
  • my mummy always told me "i want never gets".........................lol!!! here it is:
    Hobnob Recipe

    Ingredients

    8oz sr flour
    8oz sugar
    8oz porridge oats
    8oz margarine
    1tbsp golden syrup
    1tbsp hot water
    1/2 tsp bic soda

    Instructions

Mix the flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan. Stir in bic soda and add to dry mix.

Then mix well and make into smallish balls which you then put on a greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork. Put in the oven at 180 degrees C for 15 mins... and cool on the tray. The aim is to get them golden in the oven not brown.
