Hiya Fay
Just read your diary, s'posed to be working :undecided but you know how it goes once you start reading you have to keep going!!
Good luck with your finance'y stuff....I have no advice as I currenly have my head firmly buried underground and possibly no chance of coming up for a while!!!
The only thing in my freezer at the moment that is non-edible is DS's school trousers from Friday when he sat on chewing gum...pleased I read this thread today cos I forgot all about them and they're still in there!!
I keep seeing people ranting bout Tink's hobnobs over on OS, think I might have to try them as a cheap treat for the kids.
Look forward to reading your diary, good luck with all you wish to achieveDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Hey Jo - Hellllllllllo waving.........oh no now you know all my evil secrets and contents of my freezer - (this is a major distraction strategy for myself in the evenings - I still don't get much housework done but its helping.....................somehow or other?!!!)
I think its a bit cathartic at the mo - needing to empty head and rationalise things to be able to move forward.
Laughing at the trousers good luck with that glad I helped (kinda?!) - Haze put ski trousers in there when she was little, cos she had a snow ball in the pocket and wanted to keep it safe?!?
My head is 99% in the sand but an eyebrow is peaking out. Its probably needing plucked as well. Meeting OH on Thurs so will need a major overhaul/renovation by then. Given the time scale no chance really of acheiving very much.
Cancelled PPI with capital one today - pah to them.
Damn supervisor is lurking around so need to get on - but chained to a computer so hey ho. Ta for stopping by..............Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Fay, well done on cancelling PPI on cap one! I cancelled my DD today for my work shares scheme, they heavy underwater and I can always rejoin later. The money will come in handy for necessary things like car tax.
I once got told a quick way to make sure you look million dollars.
Apply holiday skin body lotion or similar for 2 nights running before big date (exfoliate first, if you have no exfoliator use sugar. If you're pale use the lightest shade available or it WILL go streaky)
deep condition your hair and style as usual
file nails and either buff or apply one coat of clear nail varnish
use bronzer instead of blusher.
None of these take too long to do but it works! (trust me!)

Great idea Unix - will do some of your tips they sound like they will work a treat! Being celtic blue I don't take colour very well but will dig out the sugar...... and somewhere I might even have some make up - ? somewhere ?
Well done on cancelling the DD.
(That way when Jo's coffee arrives | will also know where it is!!)
I was more thinking along the lines of:
Using the hand held dyson for essential liposuction somehow.
(4 days together means I will turn blue and die if I try and suck my tummy in for that long. Thankfully OH is lovelytall 'puffin' shaped and very cuddly. So there will be no mutual tummy sucking in.)
Nair scissors on the split ends possibly hide the grey with a quick DIY hair colour. got some free conditioner somewhere too - good call (then platts) and application of an obigitory woolly hat.
Paint toenails as this does cheer me up and will attack my nails (as a gardener these are not my best feature)!
Therefore my final strategy was to just pile on the thermals and the woolly jumpers - tis cold after all, ah .................who said romance was dead?
He's only driving 200+ or so miles after all, don't want to seem too keen.....:DTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
