I lived there for 8 years though, best place I ever lived, and entertained a string of friends to plenty of meals with never any problems. Anyway I'll bear it in mind now I'm living in a 'semi-civilised' manner!
Living on a narrowboat sounds great. Never been on one but they look fab.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
Hi all,
Just wanted to say hello Fay, I've been lurking and reading for a whileAnd it was starting to feel a bit like spying without saying hello
I've been up to Orkney 4 times now, and had a great time every timeWe stayed in Stromness over Christmas and new year for 2 years in a row, and it was fab
Your house and garden and life sounds greatDon't envy you evil ex though
My poor mother was a single parent, and my dad, we saw him every week, but he was a little bit, er, forgetful on the old maintenance payments front... But we managed. Not nice to be bunged into a corner though - and good you can be firm on letting the kids still see their dad (however carp he is) - my mum never said a bad word about my dad (not to us anyway!) and we came to our own conclusions about him...
I'm also stuck in PhD la-la-land... and have been full time since September 2004! aarrgghh! I too have an evil supervisor, as well as a nice one, and have ended up having a years Leave of Absence, so it's all rather dragging on a bit. Should be out this summer though - although probably not if I carry on reading forums and not working,...
Our garden is tiny, but I'm growing lettuces, herbs, sprouts, courgettes, beans, and all sorts of stuff. They quickly get eaten by slugs, so there's always room for something new
We also have a van that we camp in - but it's not a proper camper, it's an old post van with a futon in the backGreat fun though.
Anyway, I'll go back to lurking and writing nowYou're doing great with your scary loan by the way!

Oh, and Uni, I did used to live on a narrowboat for a few months, and it was great! I loved every minute of it (apart from the ones spent emptying the toilet - bleurgh!). Land lubber now sadly, but you have to live with what you've got...0

hi, i bought a couple of wedding magazines before our wedding and nearly died of shock at the price and then at the lack of contents they were just advertising.
Managed to get a sneak preview of my net pay for next tues, ok it's early and i wish is was before the weekend but at least i now know how much my new net pay is, and can start planning next month's shoe string budget.
i bought a lovely pair of shoes for my wedding, and in the end didn't wear them outside the wedding shop, i bought a £5 pair in the sales that i could actually wear for the whole day. Well........ until i changed into some lovely white trainers for the evening. Well it was a barn dance wasn't it???0 -
Hi Fay!
I finally found time to check out your diary! Ok so its 23.53 but only chance Pip has given me!!
Nearly peed myself reading about the dead creatures in the freezer :rotfl:Have to ask (although a little scared to) whats in there now?
The shoes I bought for my wedding to evil ex are now the shoes I am wearing for DS (from nice new OH) Naming Ceremony next week. Very MSE :money:!!
