bought a pair of jeans from redcross shop at lunch time (£2) - short length way hay - (I am challenged in legage) - BUT they said they were a 12 (ample tummy room)

BUT were an 8  - yeah they are on - but man am I a bit squished!! Might motivate me??

Thank you for the welcome :)
Jeans - isn't an American 8 about the same as a UK 12? So sometimes you can find 12s hidden among the 8s IYSWIM? But it sounds as though that's a UK 8 in which case I shall be green with envy as am only just able to get into my size 12 jeans! Well done for both the fit and the bargain!
Slugs & snails - I wait till an hour after dark(when they think it's safe to come out) and put salt on them. Then feel a bit guilty. But it works, which is more than you can say for my grammar, all them there sentences starting with the wrong words...)
Moneywise - sorry to hear you are down in the dumps. Keep chipping away at it though. If my memory & maths serve me right (this thread moves so fast I have lost your message onto previous page while writing), you are only £32.01 from being under the magic £25K mark.
Good luck :) Between ebaying slugs and waistlines inches you will be there in no time. :D:rolleyes:

P.S. Would love to get to Orkney one day. Please let me know when the slugs have gone!

I'm very tired today. Must do some of my cv tonight. My garden is starting to look quite overgrown must cut the grass but its too wet. My lawn looks shabby compared to others. Can't wait till my roses come out they are lovely scented and really cheer me up.

Piq, get Devil's Claw gel. Its great and really helps with the pain without taking painkillers (which make me drowsy and sick). I still use it (smashed wrist and shoulder 3 years ago and it still gives me bother).

the runaway slugs slid over the hill, poor Hamsterpoo watched them going, two by two
The slugs went left and the snails went right .....giving old hamster quite a plight
And they all slid into the compost making Hamsters blue"

i've already been out turfing snails and throwing them for the blackies. I'm watching gardeners world waiting for OH to get home from work. think i may build my little cold frame this weekend so i can put it on the veggie patch to help warm up the soil, i'm running out of space in the greenhouse so it may help to put things in it to start them hardening off.
