Wish I could come and have coffee too, but I'm miles away.

Hope you have a good trip Fay, you'll be fine on the food shop. I think your idea of a little grocery challenge is great. However, I need to point out that since I joined our weight loss challenge I've stopped losing weight....

Yeah um - well - same here I think............................weight up again today - those horrid scales

    How's dear old Captain?

Pity you aren't nearer but then your terrible commute would be even worse............x

Well Fay the weather is fantastic today, blue skys and very warm sunshine. Pack your shorts and sun tan lotion!

Tis sunny here _ I have almost thought of looking out the 3/4 trousers - dont get much wear out them up here :)

    And my trusty hippy sandals

ps what is this warm you talk of?????

Is it the funny sensation I feel sometimes in the conservatory devoid of arctic winds?

  • Lol wear the hippy sandels with the stripey socks! Yeah I think it's only just above freezing here but that just means it summer!

Are you bringing Darwin? Want to put banner on Forth Road Bridge welcoming him!

I think the thing is to have a "do not lose weight challenge" Maybe the very fact we have been told not to lose weight will make us rebel and do the complete opposite!

Dear old Captain is still strutting his stuff as a police horse trainer! Unfortunately, Spring is in the air and his attention is moving onto the ladies...

The Darwin beast is indeed partaking in the adventure - as the mileage is on expenses - he may even get a nice go through a nifty car wash for a treat.

He's being loaded as I pretend to work.

    No banners though he's shy.

What I love about him (apart from all the obvious fun things about him) is that everyone in a vw camper you see waves madly at you.

    Hello All

I've been away on holiday and have spent last few days catching up....wow this board moves speedily!

Enjoy your trip Fay, I bet you will have a great time! Especially with £300 burning your pocket for shopping!!

Unixgirl - Really sorry to read about your redunancy, it seems so unfair to do it while you have a bad tooth too. I hope that something comes up for you soon and that your last few months aren't too awful.

There is so much of this thing about at the moment, my brother-in-law is just going from week to week without knowing if he will back the following week and one of my best friends has been told he's getting a 10% pay cut.

All this gardening talk is making me think of what I can do. I know my mum grew some salad stuff last year and it was super easy. Just need to ask my landlady if ok to put a few pots in the garden!

My real dream would be to keep bees...not entirely sure why exactly but feel very drawn to it!

I'm loving the sun at the moment...feel it could be Pimms O'Clock very soon!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Hiya! Been out all day, doing adminny things and a few dfw things, like cheap Asda shopping, making appointments for my mortgage running out, even checking up on a few of the deals Martin mentioned in his email yesterday.

Fay, your trip sounds great! And it also sounds like you've planned it really well, so as to make the most of it. I hope the hippy sandals get a workout.

do you know i've just realised i've not been getting Martin's emails for a while, gonna check out whether i'm on the naughty step or anything.
Got a few more green things in the greenhouse, may try your tip with the toms though as they have failed which is very strange as they're almost always guarenteed.
