LT I am delighted I am away during the changes as I am sure like many I will find it a bit odd - I am probably in closer contact on here with folks then anywhere else and i find it really rewarding and helpful to feel so 'close' to so many folks also trying to sort themselves out financially.

Hello All
I've been away on holiday and have spent last few days catching up....wow this board moves speedily!
Enjoy your trip Fay, I bet you will have a great time! Especially with £300 burning your pocket for shopping!!
Unixgirl - Really sorry to read about your redunancy, it seems so unfair to do it while you have a bad tooth too. I hope that something comes up for you soon and that your last few months aren't too awful.
There is so much of this thing about at the moment, my brother-in-law is just going from week to week without knowing if he will back the following week and one of my best friends has been told he's getting a 10% pay cut.
All this gardening talk is making me think of what I can do. I know my mum grew some salad stuff last year and it was super easy. Just need to ask my landlady if ok to put a few pots in the garden!
My real dream would be to keep bees...not entirely sure why exactly but feel very drawn to it!
I'm loving the sun at the moment...feel it could be Pimms O'Clock very soon!
Even a few pots are great - you can be eating lots of your own stuff - we had some sun yesterday and the day beffore - and it was a bit warmer than normal (not hard) but thus far I am sure when I arrive in Scotland I will find it much more clement!
I know quite a few folks who are being made redundant - tis not very nice to hear it at all. xx hugsxx
Currently sitting with gloop on hair and about to commence painting toe nails in preparation for all this sandal wearing.
These may well be multicoloured but not sure yet as need to raid the toenail colourage drawer.
Waves morning to you all
Darwin is cleaned inside and packed - the campervan plates and cups have gone back in after a thorough Scotland spring clean. He even got a power wash last night - helps him shed his rust - cushions in - just need to upload the silly mutt and the silly daughter later on.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Pimms..........:D ......naughty word...... I love the stuff.
We went through various pay cuts too so I know how your friend feels, and still it didn't save jobs. Feeling a bit brighter about it. Worst case I can always don the dangly earrings and polish up the crystal ball and start doing my clairvoyant bit more often!
My grandfather kept bees when I was little. I've found they LOVE my lavendar plants in my garden. Its their haven. I'm highly allergic yet OH will quite happily let yellow noses (?) crawl all over his hands. I just let them get on with it and since introducing the lavendar and the bees coming my roses have gone wild and constantly have people knocking my door asking for some. My Grandmother loves them, I get a nice feeling when she beams and tells people that not only did her grand-daughter bring her flowers she grew them herself AND they have a scent, which seems very rare for roses these days.

Waves back at Fay and *sighs* at beekeeping. Both DS and I want to keep bees, i too have Lavender in the garden to encourage them.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
I've applied for free seeds for DD from the Blue Peter website (found a link on here somewhere...think in the Freebies board) for bee-attracting plants
Have fun on the big, wild mainland Fay0
