We can be hobbit chums together and i will toss cake and chocolate out of my window into your larder
You can return the favour by throwing beetroot into my larder
And we can all have the windows open for all the spuds LT doesnt want.
I have full knee length purple flowery socks onThey don't go with anythign else but hey ho - I live alone (except DD, her two pals, my brother and the lodger)
:D:D
Oh I have news - I ironed a pair of trousers last night
Sorry that other folks have to iron for work - but for me it was a novel experience - (linen trousers) although I have to say once they are ironed and sat on you couldn't tell they were ironed at all - pah.
doing some wrok after this I promise
I can make beetroot cake, won't eat it though:rotfl: I like the idea of larders..it sounds so OS doesn't it?
Today i wore grey stripey socks..M&S had three pack offer and i had vouchers..also have some with stars on:D
Well done on the ironing, i like ironed clothes..actually find it relaxing like washing up..sad i know:rotfl:
Linen trousers do have a tendency to crease, but i read somewhere that you can starch them to reduce this..runs.............................................Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I'm with you on the beetroot cake, just seems wrong somehow, don't know why...
Think you're supposed to look elegantly rumpled in linen, think Audrey Hepburn elegant. Obviously, this is for all the rest of you, somehow I just fall short of the mark :rotfl:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Hmm me more wee jimmy crankie than audrey hepburn.
I have a delicious recipe for beetroot and chocolate cake - its lovely and moist and no you can't taste the beetroot.
I think the dark lovely rich beetroot compliments the chocolate v much.
TBH though surely its a waste of beetroot.
Repeat several times

Hey hey well thats 3 of us then
So its half term here
OH is looking after DD - a new experience for both of them, both seem relatively unscathed at the moment but its only day 1 in the stripey socks house.
OH casually commented - if times were really very bad I should say - (doh no brainer he earns 5x more than me)
I said twas fine (whilst kicking self under table)
To which he replied 'are you sure............I opened the freezer and there is a BLACKBIRD in there - things can't be that bad can they??'
To which DD replied completely non plused - 'No its cool we have a wren in there too':rotfl:Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
