Right I'm off to pack - I can set up a tent in the paddock and spend my days digging in the veggie garden and stealing hugs from your chooks.
    You won't notice I am there honest:p

How do you think I keep the freezzerss nicely stocked HP - glad you and BRB have finally become acquainted:D

    Serioulsy though

as well as no foxes, badgers, squirrels, toads, frogs, minx and so on we don't often get anything like bluetits, or any of the titbirds to be honest.

So this year only thing I have seen in the bird boxes are house sparrows, starlings and there is a greenfinch hanging around but only one.

On the ohter hand we did see a snowy owl last week - we get lots of hen harriers, ravens, curlews by the hundreds, lapwings, oystercatchers, herons, fulmars and of course PUFFINS.

And the garden here is pretty unusual we do actually have trees :D

SM this is your patch - the bit outside the dining room window - we can plan a mini-festival here!! We usually have a tent pitched here for the kids/adults whomever xx

Thinking of having a something here one day before we have to go - its where OH wants us to do a wedding-mini glastonbury thing.

Chookie hugging is essential and wonder if I can entice folks up for holidays if I make them work :)

  • Great piccies everyone.Having a large pang at piccie of Darwin, but will breathe into brown paper bag until they have passed.

Nice plans for your communal bits Sophiesmum. I have to say it looks very familiar, but i suppose a lot of places are built along similar designs.

Was having a good old mooch on the greenfingered thread and there are some free downloadable garden planners on there.

Edit to say i have a posh three bedroomed tent;) :rotfl: Would also fit nicely at front of house.:rotfl:

  • HI BOB - slow breaths

Yeah I got a garden planner from someone on there its saved on my laptop

I am basically going to do a version of what SM said about buying for 6 months but for growing

I am thinking of what we eat - how much we eat of it and trying to work out how many then I need to grow

    ie - I must use about 5 onions a week - 52 weeks - I need sow about 250-300 onions.

Same with tomatoes etc to try and work out how much to grow and all the others

10 carrots a week - 52 weeks - 520-600 carrots about 1" apart so I need a row of about 600" carrots - 50ft row of carrots in total - that kind of thing...

no idea if it will work but something like that.
