  • Hello KK

Hope today is going well for you.

We spent all morning outside (well from 10ish) moving wood to the pile - having discovered the new mowers back boxes come off and that the trailer that's in the garden fits to it.

Its like having a mini tractor - its so cool - so as its not windy or raining - amazing!! We all went out and tackled the various bits wind blow and wood lying around hte garden - just the paddock to do next and perhaps borrow chainsaw for bits that are just too big to shift. Then the wood pile will be huge - evil laugh.

Bare bum barbara is fine and laid an egg today so obviously not too traumatised by the defeathering!!!

Need to do more seed trays but have some work to do today as I have a presentation tomorrow at work to do as part of my *training* thus far training seems to be (FOFO) (f off and find out) yourself.

Theres a pile of shredding to do as well which could be used on one of the paths which is all 'guttery' at the moment - but must do this presentation first.

I hate being chained to a desk. Pah.

    Waves

Done my cooking (curry, spag bog, roast turkey and chopped up beef and veggies for stir fry) also cooked pasta and rice.

Banana cake however not very sucessful. Pah.

  • LT - don't dispair - I have OCD about plants - and the greenhouse has about 2/3 of the long beds covered in seed trays.

But remember I have a conservatory as well and its got a few seed trays in it too and a propagator.

Our greenhouse is the old fashioned kind (I am only renting I couldnt afford such a set up!!)

hello all - not much to update this weekend - DD's about to come out all at once so they are thus far accounted for (hurrah).

Must do lease for the new chap and sort out DD and deposit with him - he wants to give me cash but I want the money to go into the bank directly

Labelled the freezer - my word its got alot in it.

13 potential 'meat' teas and probably a few others to boot. I need to do a use it up week or two after this weeks done, the only thing I really need is bread so will stock up one evening when its late on and get lots of bargains to fill up the freezer again.

Busy week ahead - presentation tomorrow and then LOTS writing. hey ho!!

Today moved around tonnes of wood outside so the 'to chop' pile looks a bit impressive. DD and I also shredded up last years willow samples - about 5 wheel barrow loads which were in excess of 6ft - so more of the path now has lovely 'free' chopped woodchip on it probably done a third of it though. Slow and steady means free I guess.

New propagation bed doesnt seem to have blown up so that hopefully will warm up my little seedlings.

Need to think ebay things soon.......wonder if we can make it pay for the trip to dads?

Roast dinner for tea yum yum

Sounds like you and the kids have had a fun day tractoring and shredding stuff:j

You can always feed the banana cake to bare bum barbara and friend (has she got a name? )
    Reduce,re-use, recycle.

I guess it really has to be Margot doesnt it for the other fully fluffy bummed hen, yeah poor banana bread, there was no salvaging it - half way between burnt on outside and gloopy on the inside (oven too hot obviously)

Was a recipe off here, but also did roast at same time and was out moving logs so lost focus perhaps????
