Aaaaagh, I'm trying to plant some seeds and I have mislaid my propagator. It's so frustrating as DD1 wants to help.
L
(if you haven't done it already) - that way she is encouraged and engaged by seed sowing but doesn't accidentally interfere too much.
I use to give hazel packets of older seed and let her sprinkle them about the place.
Jamie oliver had his kids write their name in cress - or their intial - but it was great fun watching their names grow.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Lucille - if DD wants to help give her some peas, nastrutiums or seeds that are not precious to put into pots.

When my (19 yr old at the time ) DD went to the USA for a few months she left me a 'surprise' to remember her by - she sprinkled cress seed in the soil of every house plant, luckily I saw the funny side to it :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Fay, that sounds a fantastic afternoon! I didn't get out to the garden today - had to buy a convector heater and some of that horrible foam filler, took me ages to get there and back. But very, very fun for you today!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Good morning
Feel like I have to make a special visit over here now so I don't lose track of you, I really don't like the diaries separated, the board seems to have lost its momentum and is quite boring without everyone's diaries mingled in
Hope everything is well in your world XX0 -

I don't like the diaries over here either. I thought the diaries mingling with the queries and pleas for help added a bit of hope and inspiration for people. There is a way out, it's hard work but not necessarily the end of the world. Most people could see that there were higher debts and worse scenarios.

I use my User Control tab, a *lot* - probably too much, in fact because of the shift I've now posted on two newbies threads just today, whereas usually its less than that
I don't like the format, but its probably better for the site as a whole, for now, anyway. We'll see, at least its a trial.

i'm not sure about the split in the board either.
Fay you're just showing off - 17 seedtrays! you're greenhouse must be huge, i probably couldn't fit 17 in mine with the staging i've got. I've tried to be sensible and not plant too many seeds so i don't get bored potting them on or have too many for my little plot.0 -

And you guys - Piq - why couldn't I say it like that?????
Morning all - well - afternoon.
TBH if there was a seperate diary thread before I don't think I would have ventured into starting one.
Anyone listening - this feels a bit disjunct and scary - me no like much,Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I didn't comment when I saw Piq's post, but you're right, Fay, its a beautiful way of putting it, about the mingling of desperate newbies and old hands' diaries.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
