The revenge of the stripey socks - a DFW adventure

Hi Fay.... if I was planning to be here long term, I probably would ask for a dispensation to keep chickabiddies.... but my plan, such as it is, is to pay off debts, become mega-wealthy by trading and s*d off around Europe and America in a camper van, then off to the rest of the world using hotels. I'll probably live somewhere else before I retire, but I'd never contemplate staying here permanently - just as an example of how hilly the area is, you can't see the house from the end of the back garden because the hill is so steep. Its a nightmare for oldies (I'm at a different life stage from you, can you tell? :rotfl:). Not that I'm there yet, but I'm seriously thinking about it.
The book sounds really interesting - I'm a big fan of permaculture and recycling/reducing, how do you mean tho, growing plants from the storecupboard - like, literally, having a daylight bulb in a cupboard and growing things in there? Sounds fascinating.
London - wow, you've only been there twice? I was a bit of a lost soul in my twenties, and its my theory that most people like that end up in London, at least for a while - if they're lucky, they find themselves and probably move on, tho not always.
Okay, thats enough hijacking of your diary!
Sorry laughing - not growing plants IN the store cupboard but FROM the storecupboard:rotfl:
I never explain myself properly. My plan is also to head world wise with me little van probably til I find somewhere warm and sunny that I can have most of my life outside by a coast/beach - can't be far from the sea - my only cunning flaw is working in biology with dodgy pay and no other committments.
I keep telling the kids 51/2 years and I am out of here - they are doing various renditions of ITS SO UNFAIR if I go without them.

HI KK - its making me so unbelivable grumpy.
Think spoilt child. I know its *good for me* but I live in a state of entropy and chaos.
Planning and I are not easy bedfellows. Although I am an anal taurean who likes structure and routine of sorts - so I am a very complex creature I fear. I should love planning food, but cos its food - my one real true love (aside from the obvious humans in my life) I find meal planning hard.
I need to get more creative I think - which will happen when the lodger chap goesTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Fayjmck , the chicken dog hole saga yesterday had me thinking do you have foxes up there ?
do they stay away because off your own dogs ? Because I would have thought they would get through a small hole.
I have all sorts around here and the foxes live almost next door and only once tried to get the rabbit  ,
now they just sunbathe in the garden where the rabbit and cats just stare at them:rotfl:. Its nice when the bring the babies down to play.
I just ordered some free "be kind to bees" seeds for my DD.Member of change Pip's name back to PIP club

hi i've been busy in the garden again yay! Painted the wall OH built and it looks fab, i've taken up the log roll which bordered the veggie patch at the front, sorted the ground and put down grass seed. I then took my perch in the greenhouse and have planted lots of lovely veggie seeds. Probably won't have space but may take a leaf from your book and put them on the notice board at work.0
