Neighbour keeps feeding my dog

He does have to be outside as he gets bored inside and chews everything!
I think I'll take the special diet route and talk to her sister first. After that then I will probably have to be tougher with her :mad:0 -

How long is he left alone? Yeah I think sometimes you need to be tough, i'd say if they 'love' the Dog that much they can walk it in this weather to burn off what they're feeding it!0 -
Is your dog left for long periods? If yes then it's not really fair on the dog and maybe you should be at home more!0

Yes OP, give up your job so you can be at home more often with your dog! Really some people haven't a clue.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0 -
I gave up my job to be able to have dogs, because I knew it was unfair to leave them, plus I like being a lady of leisure!0

Nobody should need to give up their jobs due to Dogs as before a Dog is bought, the amount of time it will be left for should be considered. For all we know tho the OP may only be out for 2 hours & it may be a problem. The ideal solution would IMO be for the Dog to be inside, the OP would be happy as it wouldn't be fed, the Dog would be warm/er & not gaining weight.
However the problem wasn't 'how do I stop my Dog from chewing & help him to cope when i'm out' but the neighbour.0 -

it's nice that you are in a position to be able to do that.
i wish i could afford to give up my job so i can spend all with my cats! unfortunately i have to go out and earn the Salmon Tokens so I can feed the little darlings.0 -
How about putting the dog onto a chain so that he can't get as far as the fence and therefore can't reach the treats, if the layout of your garden will allow that.
Or you could take him out in the car one evening then come back howling and bawling and tell her you'd just been to the vet and the vet was very unhappy and concerned at how unhealthy and obese your dog had become and if it continued he'd die. (May God forgive me for suggesting you lie:o but obviously I mean the vet, not the dog!!!!)0 -
