    good luck to you all.

smoked a bit as a teenager coz my parents and everyone else did - fortunately never got addicted so giving up wasn't a trouble

i think Lilac put her finger on it - look for the thing that makes you want one, and ambush it by doing something else.

BL - it will be really hard if your OH smokes so specially good luck with that
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

    Hey

Just a quick update, i worked out how much i spent a year on cig's. At say £6 a pack per day. Was over £2000 + plus then a can of red bull with ever pack took it to £2500.

So, i did mention that i was going to the doctors about using Zyban, well because i am going to Africa i can't because of milaria tablets would kill me.

So, instead i am taking Champix, i know there has been a lot of bad press about this drug. But i am good so far, i'm on day 4 at the moment and due to stop smoking on Thursay.

Good luck everyone. :rotfl: :T :rotfl:

I have been thinking about hypnosis, one of the nurses at the hospital does it and has asked me if i would be interested. I wasnt too sure at the time but im seriously thinking about it now.
I think anything is worth a try. I tried hypnosis many years ago when I was addicted to Marathon bars and was munching my way through 3 a day. I had two sessions of hypnosis (privately) and it actually worked. I very rarely eat chocolate these days. Like anything it depends how much you want to give up. Give it a go, what've you got to lose.
  • well, the giving up smoking has taken a big old head dive. I have been off all week with a bruised coxsix (not sure if correct spelling) im in agony!! im off for another week so im gonna be sooo skint when i get my payslip
