Between £5 - £6 a packet, depending where you buy, and which brand, LP. Roll up tobacco is between £5.00 and £6.50 for 25 grams.

Smoking is, indeed, an expensive pastime/addiction.

You did well to give it up.

  • Coming up to 1 year since I quit (by hypnosis). I used to smoke roll-ups also (after switching from B&H then Marlboro Lights as they got too expensive). Between me and my OH smoking it was easily about £150~£200 per month. A 50g packet of Golden Virginia used to cost about £5.25 early last year when I was still a smoker, I looked in the shops last night purely out of interest and it now costs £5.90 or thereabouts.

I’m glad I stopped, no willpower required with hypnosis, I walked out and just didn’t fancy a cigarette and nearly 12 months later, I still don’t!
  • I have been thinking about hypnosis, one of the nurses at the hospital does it and has asked me if i would be interested. I wasnt too sure at the time but im seriously thinking about it now.

Thank you. Unfortunatly its not plain sailing I still sometimes crave one.
 At the time i think it was around £4.75 a pack.

Go for it! My OH said if I went and did it and it worked for me, he would go too. Suffice to say 1 week after I went, he booked his appointment and he is also now a non-smoker. ;)

I have also referred 2 friends, 1 of my workmates and 1 of my workmates daughters to the same guy I went to, all of them have quit successfully also. The sesh cost me £120, lasted about 45 minutes but it was well worth it to be rid of the evil Nicotine monster.

I have zero willpower and thought I would be too strong minded to be hypnotised, in fact I went into it very sarcastic and thinking 'yeah right as if this mumbo jumbo is gonna work on me. Ha!' but it worked and I haven't looked back since.
  • I smoke amberleaf and use the concept machine and tubes so they look like normal fags, been doing this for 1yr now and would not go back to normal cigarettes. Works out at a fraction of the price.Takes a while to get used to the machine but once you have cracked it its really good.
