  • Also for the bank and the staff point of view, AML law requires them to report it if they think it is suspicious activity. It is an offence not to report it if you believe a transaction suspicious.

OP - As advised you are going to have to prove where the money came from as you have made large cash deposits firstly in Natwest then Barclays. As mentioned proof of sale of property abroad would be a start.
  • Should the title thread be edited to swap 'no' for 'a' ?

The OP also stated that she would go bankcrupt if she didnt get this money, again something not right here.

IT could be she owes a large amount to Barclays

    Again this doesnt make sense.
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

Also what do you live on from day to day? you stated you dont work, have no other money coming in, yet you have managed to save up nearly £1000 in child benefits (therefore you have children) so are you claiming benefits?
    £100 - £10,000

Why does it concern you what is right or wrong? It shouldn't really should it......

All the OP asked was if we knew why her money was taken, we've established that so best to leave her to get on with things - who cares if it sounds dodgy or if she has kids/is on benefits! If it is dodgy then she'll get caught if not then so what!
