mitchy74, I believe the company called 'Ice Energy Scotland' are now trading as 'Ice heating' these are not the same as the Ice Energy from Eynsham mentioned by rhubarb before.
Did you get any joy from the Stirling based company, Influence CA?There are three types of people in this world...those that can count ...and those that can't!

Yeah I found them yesterday and sent off my info, I thought they were related to the English lot but arent.
Havent heard anything back from the others either yet, I assume it takes a few days so fingers crossed there is something waiting for me next week on return from work in Inverness.
The chap from Ice England seems to think there will definately be an announcement next week regarding the RHI so fingers crossed I can move on with it next week!0 -

sounds like a good price, is that for the 14kW Ecodan, with or without new DHW cylinder?
so long as they do what they say.....ask to see testimonials from other customers, ask if you can contact satisfied customers, if they have calc'd that the radiators require replacing, then, as long as they DO! need replacing, then it is wise to do it, this is how to get the most efficiency from the system...larger surface area = lower flow temperature. There are three types of people in this world...those that can count ...and those that can't!

I have tried searching for good or bad reviews from them but nothing so customer contact is definately a port of call. I dont know how they can say the rads need replaced as they havent seen them or asked about sizes etc.

Mmm, not been out to survey, so how do they know how much pipe to replace?.....how many rads?.....what sizes? the quote stated supply and install rads to match heatloss requirements, I think I would want to know how many and what sizes. chase him up and get clarification on quote. Did you provide drawings with room dimensions/rad sizes? There are three types of people in this world...those that can count ...and those that can't!

I gave him the architect plans that showed some but not all dimensions. Certainly no info on rads or sizes but I did tell him that the pipe was microbore.0 -
The 14kW c/w 300L DHW Cyl is £5,710, the copper pipe and fittings to connect both to existing system is around £560, installation labour including electrics test and commission is about £800 plus mark-up is £8,840 ish (just under 9K) radiators (how many) and replace microbore pipe work could be a further £1K on top.... all plus 5% VatThere are three types of people in this world...those that can count ...and those that can't!
