    Please...no.

We got these in store originally in October 2008. They had a massively high fault rate and got quarantined then recalled. They were all sent back to be reworked and we got them back around Easter. Again, massive fault rate, same problem (the TV is slow to respond, changes channel by itself, gets stuck on one channel, etc) and they were quarantined again. They've since been sent back and are now being sold as refurbs on the Dixons and Currys internet sites. Maybe they've fixed the problem, but I've already seen one or two back from the online sites.

The recent batch of entry-level TV/DVD combis we have (the *DVDB19 range) seem to be really quite good though.

Hi, just read your post, I was going to buy the Hitachi 19" Tv, refurbished for just £89.99. Do you think this TV, will have a the same type of faults, or is it the Logic ones your refering to?

    Many thanks
    Dan

It was just the Hitachi H01UB series ones (came in 19" and 22", with and without DVD) that have been recalled twice! The Logik and other ones there will probably have been ex-repair ones, but are a damn sight better anyway.

This is nothing but my opinion, but I suspect a number of them were exchanged due to non-availablity of parts...which they have then managed to get in, fit and resell.

    Hi

Richer Sounds have a few Sony 37" Bravias left at £479.99. Next cheapest i can see is Laskys at £549. John Lewis were selling for £550, but price has now gone up to £649 .

As Richer Sound states some are end of line so maybe open box, but well worth tracking down.

    Clicky

Argos item no: 536/5939 (says cannot be reserved for in store)
or strangely also 529/4976 (which can be reserved for in store!)

Argos have the Sony KDL40W5500U 40" lcd 100hz tv on offer for £649.00; but until the 20th October, there is a further £50.00 off using online voucher code SONY50 for deliveries or by printing a voucher from website if collecting in store - bringing the price down to £599.00

Up to 3% cashback with cashback sites (eg topcashback) if delivered bargain!!!
