Yes, as they are highly recommended. They offer an excellent banking service, the best in the industry in terms of customer services.
  • They're great. Took the plunge a couple of weeks ago and wouldn't go back. Customer service is great, and they're quick to get things done.

How much would you be paying in though? If it's less than £1500 each month or you don't (want to) hold a mortgage with them it'd be a tenner a month after the first 6 months.

Without sounding nasty... on a cashier's salary, are you paying the monthly fee?

Nope, cos I joined when just having a CC with them got you out of paying the fee. Changed yesterday, and doesn't apply to existing customers. Thank god.

No, if you work for HSBC you don't get any offers on FD stuff and vice versa.

That sucks. But I hear you staff are exempt from bank charges so that must be great for some.

Yeah, but it's a disciplinary matter if you go overlimit...

Yeah, but it's a disciplinary matter if you go overlimit...

Is this only for HSBC bank accounts/credit cards? What if you go over the limit with another financial institution?

Also is there a criteria that anyone who works for the banks must have a good credit history? Or is that a myth?
