I am currently doing the K101 health and social care course. In some ways better than expected. I am doing the open degree because I get bored and want to learn lots of different things
Next I am doing the personal finance course
then the one after is crime welfare and society. Not sure after that.
I think the personal finance course is 30 points and is £310. I am hoping to get the grant for it although might not because I want to do in same year as my first one and you only get grant for a certain amount......will have to see.DFW 228 LONG H 68

Andan, thanks for the information about the course. Looking forward to starting it

Good evening all, lurgy has got me good and proper and ive not done much this afternoon, im going to get into bed and do my uni reading there. But my lamp has broke! So will look for a new one at weekend. Uni tomo, bag and lunch all packed and hope i get through it feeling poorly.
You have all motivated me on with all this OU talk! I did a course with them, masters level community safety and crime prevention. Loved it but couldnt devote the time. Im hoping to become a tutor with them at some point, just waiting for the right vacancies to come up!
Shame about the student coming late Andan, try and be frugal till they come.
I hope the postman brings some nice things tomo eve when i get home! Tomo at uni hoping to get my assignment done. fingers crossed!

Didn't buy a latte into work this morning saving £1.20 - made my own in the coffee machine at home that I rescued from the back of the kitchen cupboard;
Used that £1.20 to buy an oven glove on the way home (I know, surreal, but I ain't got one and fed up of burning my hand);
Drafted a letter to Egg asking them to write off the balance of my credit card because they terminated my agreement in Jan 08 along with 161,000 others and there may not be a justification in law for them doing so.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Evening folks,
sorry i have not been on for a few days but between weather, work and train travel i have had very little time to stop and think.
I have been doing my PAD's and my scratchie but little else.
I have though done the following small DFW things:
checked online banking
scratchees
taken flask, sandwiches and snacks to work
recharged phone at work
worked!!!!! full stop.
storecupboard brekkies, lunch and dinners (save for last night, had 1st curry in weeks
ooooops:rolleyes: )
I think my brain has shut down now - i'm so tired.
You are all doing so well. :T

Hi everyone :hello:
All this talk of OU courses makes me feel guilty, I haven't maanged to even start mine - I love the reading etc but just struggle with the TMAs, so much so that I just put them off and then drop out of the course
I have so much respect for anyone that gets through it.
I've had a *****y day at work, stand up row with someone over something not my fault :mad:
Anyway, due to being totally drained and fed u, my list is somewhat smaller than I hoped for!
- post here to keep me on track
- free scratchcard - 10p :rolleyes:
- lsd - stuck to list in Asda (apart from sneaky 4 pk of galaxy
)
- free lunch at work
- drying washing on airer
- quidco clicks
- check freebies board
was going to do all kinds tonight but just don't feel up to it - will need to make HM soup tomorrow instead.
