The 101 challenge is another challenge i do where you achieve 101 things in 1001 days. Here is a link to the thread about it. There are a nice bunch of people taking part and its a great way of getting things done that you have always wanted to or just keep putting off.

  • If I can do it I would like to do the Creative Writing one. How did you find it?

The creative writing one was ok, but i didn't like the fact that there were only two tutorials one at the beginning and one at the end, which i didn't feel were enough. I didn't enjoy it as much as the other ones and didn't feel very supported by my tutor who would criticise and make remarks but not offer advice. However that could have just been the tutor i had. The funnies thing she said was that my story was too far fetched and then she saw that at the end it was based on a real life story!

There are some really interesting courses with the O.U though.

  • Ha ha, bet they were real embarrased! I thought stories could be far fetched as they are stories? I was looking at the Open degree because there are a few different things I would like to do, but not sure if a named one is better? If it is I know which one I would go for and I would still have a 60 point one to choose from anywhere

Health and social care, making social worlds, approaching literature, personal finance, death and bereavement, social policy,Managing care, and a bunch of 10 pointers just for fun like diabetes care, health and nutrition etc.

Strted off as a named degree and changed to open degree when I was feeling a little bogged down and started the approaching literture just for fun :)

It is quite flexible and you can change things as you go along - lots of info on your student home page which you will get once you are an OU student.
