Love them?I have been thinking about getting a trolley for ages and have been reading the posts on here with great interest. I was wondering if the trolley on the M&S website was also available in the store so I went into town yesterday. As usual I had lots to do - so completely forgot about it. Then I needed to visit the 'ladies' in Debenhams and as I came out I passed through the luggage department and there was a trolley reduced from £10 to £6!!! When I went to pay for it - the assistant said it was £24 but I pointed out the label!!
It came in very useful to carry the shopping home!!0 -
Well done Amanda, great bargain find. I too have thought about getting one as I live 8 miles from the nearest town and unless hubby is there to take me in the car I go by train. I have tried carrying shopping bags from the town centre to the station, lugging them on the train then off again at the other end and home. It's no fun. I'm wondering if I could take the ribbing I'd get off my kids for having a "granny trolley" ? Still, who cares if I can pack more shopping in on my trips to town.£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0

I got mine from Tesco. It only cost £1.

Love them?I took my shopping trolley on it's first 'real' shopping trip today. I managed to squeeze in almost £40 worth of groceries which included dog food, cooking oil and fabric conditioner. I had to get DS to carry a bag with crisps and bread but that wasn't too bad!

Wow...this is spooky that this thread is back on the first page cos I only said to my OH this morning that I thought I should get a what I call a wheelie trolly....he laughed, but now I am not working at the moment we want to do one monthly shop delivered and just get fresh stuff weekly.......ok if he was home each day but he aint, I don't drive and sometimes I think drivers forget how heavy 4 pints of milk, bag of spuds and various other essential bits weigh!
I first had one over 20 years ago when I was young and newlywed, but was pregnant and it was a mile walk to the bus stop and exH used to work such stupid hours that was never around when I needed to get shopping home. Once kids were born was great for taking all picnic stuff down the park, but somewhere on the way I thought it was naff and binned it.
Am glad to see that you can now get really nice ones, I had bog standard tartan box style...am off now to look for funky pink one.....although as a moneysaver I can see where Stephen is coming from >>>>>>checks online to see if Tescos do home delivery complete with trolley lol

Thanks,

Noooooo:eek: i still want to get one but have been really careful not to go out and spend any money lately, but i could have saved some money if i had got that trolley sooner. Sods law that i only find out about special offers after they have ended. It would be handier to have instead of the Rolser, then if i didnt need to use it after all, im not dragging the big and empty trolley about. I did a very small shop earlier for some fruit (and got a chicken use by today for 50p), my arms were ready to drop off by the time i got home but it didnt justify bringing wally.
Time to invest £7.50 in a nice pink or purple trolley!0
