Thats a great find, thanks zztopgirl :A Is THIS the one? Very nice looking trolley. Apparently it is available in-store only. I wonder if that handle extends... I'll add an excursion to Woolies to my days activities to check it out.

Racy, it has an order number in the big red book i have here, it doesnt say instore only so fingers crossed it may be available to order:T
    The order number is 231074420

    Woohoo!

I got the chance of an absolutely brilliant set of Muji drawers from Freecycle, They are just what I've been looking for to store essential paperwork.

Question was, how to pick them up quickly and get them home without transport

Answer was... use the rolser :D I took the bag off, found some adjustable ties and managed the short (about 1.5 miles) journey home, towing a set of drawers, without a problem. (Yes, I'm becoming known as "a bit of an odd one" in east London - I fit right in :rotfl: )

So now I'm feeling all smug and virtuous knowing that, thanks to my shopper, I've saved something from landfill, not "spent" carbon fetching it and have almost exactly what I was looking for to solve my storage problem :D

    :j :j :j

    I :heartsmil my shopper :A
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Well done Racy - nice to see some sensible action here. Savings all round then!

Ecentricity is one way of standing out from the crowd and I applaud you for your bravery in doing just what you did :T

I once did something similar to you many many years ago. My mum had asked me to go to my Grandad's (only about 1/2 mile away) to pick up a bird cage. I set of thinking that it would be no problem to carry, but when I got there, the bird cage was ENORMOUS, it was for a Mynah bird and there was no way I could carry it. So not to be defeated, I got Grandad's wheelbarrow out of the shed and managed to haul it in that and set off home with it. I got some strange looks but I did it! I was about 13/14 at the time and at that age I usually didn't want to do anything that made me stand out from the crowd, but I was also stubbon and didn't want anyone to think I couldn't do anything I was asked to do - no matter how stupid it was going to make me look - and I can tell you I looked stupid!

I still do stupid things like this now - take the haversack at the bank episode for an example! You can't teach an old dog new tricks I suppose LOL

Hehe! Before I got my WT I only ever used to notice people with trolleys at the market/supermarket. When I took my WT out for its first proper "mission" on Saturday, EVERYBODY I passed in the street seemed to have one, no matter if the owner was old, young, male, female, black, white...

Nobody's was as fab as my funky black and pink trolley though :D - although I did wonder what people thought of me when I was on my way to the bottle bank, my trolley was making a noise like a flippin' milk float - people must have thought I was a right wino :o

i took mine full of stuff to oxfam the other day, the youngish guy helping in there said, 'can we keep the trolley, its fab?!', i felt very proud!

have just received new digital camera through the post from my mum (one of her shopping channel bargains), so here is my trolley:

it looks quite small there, its 38L, so smaller than a rolser, but ideal for me as a starter. the handle has 3 positions, that is the middle one, and it cost £14!! :D

Actually, now I come to think of it, it's better than it was before :o - at least with the trolley I can be seen as a classy wino, whereas before I had the trolley, I was probably seen as the local wino bag lady as I could be seen struggling up the street every couple of weeks with tatty carrier bags full of bottles, jars and tins :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I know that feeling! But with your posh shopper you are definately classy :D

Rach that trolley is fabulous!

Mine is in for another challenge this week. In my search for unusual planters I've found... stable buckets! You know the ones which have a flattened section on the back so you can hang them up on walls? I reckon that if I drill a couple of holes in the base, spray paint them (they are black) I've got a couple of interesting planters.

So the Rolser is on to transport through Hackney: -

    2 Stable buckets
2 V large bags of compost
    assorted tubers, bulbs and seeds.

I've total faith in the Rolser, the problem I'm wrestling with is what colour should I paint the buckets :confused:
