:T Thank you Racy! It hadn't occurred to me to try ebay! Though I like the escort shop-a-seat as it is basically like a coolbox as well so would be great on market days.

You are welcome. That the escort shop-a-seat looks like a really well designed trolley, and nice looking too! I love the silver grey with black frame thing it has going on, and it looks really [strike]ergonom[/strike] [strike]erganimic[/strike] :o easy to use.

Wow Peem, I'm certain that one hasn't been posted before! I think a new category is needed in the OP, called "deluxe shoppers" or "objects of desire" or some other title that really means " Bloody hell! HOW MUCH?"

£355 (inc VAT) *Racy slowly pick herself up off the floor again* No.gif

I've not seen those at all on my searches, interesting find :T

Thats a great find, thanks zztopgirl :A Is THIS the one? Very nice looking trolley. Apparently it is available in-store only. I wonder if that handle extends... I'll add an excursion to Woolies to my days activities to check it out. icon7.gif

Being tall, I've always found that wally trolleys either bang against my heels, or turn me into a hunchfront as I try to both crouch down and lean backwards at the same time.

I still use my old frame rucksack when I'm going out buying heavy tins and bags of spuds etc. The hip belt transfers the weight directly to - well guess where :D - and so your spine and posture aren't compromised at all, PLUS I get to keep both hands free.

If you're not used to wearing a rucksack you do have to remember that you stick out behind more than usual, so that you don't accidentally sweep old ladies into the baked beans, but as the years have gone by I find I now stick out more at the back than I used to anyway!

Putting on a heavy rucksack is simple - just lift it onto your knee (or a convenient ledge) first, and then put an arm through one strap; swing it round using your shoulder (again being careful of stray passers-by), arm through other strap, cinch belt tight.

The only thing it's not so good for is when using buses: if the bus is crowded then a rucksack is too difficult to take off, and if you take it off beforehand, then the rucksack is awkward to lift on board. I usually just walk home and console myself that I will have THIGHS LIKE TUGBOATS :)

Thinking about Woolworths, my neighbour was really overjoyed yesterday at finding THIS 3 in 1 hand truck bargain in Woolies. Now half price at £10.

Apparently it converts from upright to flatbed use quite easily, so that's 2 uses, but what is the 3rd ;)

This is one reason I love my trolley -

I have had a trolly from Aldi - broken and waiting for OH to repair(?) so had to use haversack and 2 bags (to level myself out). I decided to put heavier things in haversack and lighter(!) ones in bag. Then went to bank and lo and behold the haversack opened by itself and all my shopping fell out - sugar bag split open and spilt over floor and my squash rolled across the floor :o Saturday morning and full, unfortunately. It may be some time before I dare go into bank again!

Note to myself - don't wait for OH to repair mine or else I'll be waiting for ever - must check out Woolies asap!
