It was more than i have ever paid for a trolly before, but it's the first one that I felt was appropriate to my age ~ 30 ish Plus VAT:cool:

lol! we are similar ages, except VAT went up a lot round my way ;)

Rach, Rolsers fold flat for storage, the bit the bag sits on folds up against the frame. I've very limited storage space but the trolly isn't to much of a problem.

As for stairs, they are pretty good, just don't overfill it so the balance gets affected :o
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Rach, I had you in mind as I was walking through one of the local markets last night.

There were some pretty good trolleys in the "rolser style" about, they folded in the same way and looked pretty sturdy.

My guess would be that the main differences are that:

they wouldn't generally last as long,
there would be wheel noise when loaded
the bag material would show marks faster
colours were less attractive, although still very acceptable (no cow print ones icon7.gif)

But otherwise they looked darned good value for money and might be an excellent first trolley.

There were also some at good prices in the local luggage shops. There are a lot more about now than there used to be!

I bought a nice plain black folding one on ebay (brand new) for £6 (including postage) It folds up nice and small for storage, and carrying to shops. Only arrived a few days ago so haven't had a chance to try it out, but thought the price was good. There were loads available for this kind of money on ebay.

got one of these but it's now broken through hard work! Need to get another. Seen an offer in Ikea so may go check it out - you join their family savings card and get a small discount on a few items - and the trolly was one that was discounted - bright orange though - so beware - you'll see me coming a mile away!

Can recommend the IKEA one - i think that we paid under a tenner with the family discount card. Ours is the black version.

I've been having a look around and this site has the plain Rolsers in their sale for £26.21 if that helps anyone.

I was in a shop today that sells the Mountain bags, they are really lightweight and look great, but cost £49.99:eek: . So even with p&p on top, its still a good deal. They have loads of pockets too, so can do away with carting a handbag round too:j

They also have a 4 wheeled one (with no photo:confused: ) for £29.96, and a red one for £17.21.
