Having meandered the shopping areas and markets of such places as Florence, Barcelona and Toulon last week (ooh err, get me :rotfl: ) I can say that I would not have been out of place with my wally tolley. I saw all shapes, sizes and ages ...... of people pulling all shapes, sizes and ages of trolleys
Now, don't get me started on what delightful foodstuffs I could have filled my trolley with in that market in central Barcelona..........0 -

Oooohh! Anyone fancy a chic shopper meet in Barcelona? Paris? Milan?....My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Love them?I have just used my trolley for the school run as we had to take tons of stuff up today. It came in really handy and no aching shoulders and elbows either :j
We got a few strange looks from some teenagers who looked puzzled, just got me wondering how you are all getting on with your trollies and have you had any strange looks too?
Hope they are still going strong, anyone esle joined the great wheeled club yet?

Love them? You'd think, as a grumpy old git, that I'd get a lot of strange looks - but I don't.
Maybe I'm not paying attention
Anyway, I wouldn't be without mine now. Not only has it made shopping easier but I've been able to take advantage of special offers that I wouldn't have been able to take home otherwise. Carrying home a pack of six tins of beans (for the price of four) on top of my intended shopping for half a mile in a carrier bag would have pulled my arms off.
It's long since paid for itself this way.
Which reminds me! I still owe the friend who got mine for me a decent bottle of wine...Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Would they not mind a trendy cow print one or the other nice styles? my 11 year old insists on pulling it, even though she got a funny look this morning, I'm past caring really but I asked to pull it instead and she said it's great and much better than carrying stuff.A penny saved is one you don't have to earn! :wave:0 -

Love them?wow didn't know this thread existed! I was given a walley trolley by my mum 8 weeks ago. It's 20+ years old and not funky like some that are around today but I got over my embarrassment of using it on the first outing. They are fantastic! Took it to the local farmers market and got in it:
Sack of onions,
3 carriers of carrots
2 bunch of beetroots
2 swedes
1 celeriac
1 cauliflower
carrier of apples
and a giant pumpkin (it was huuuge!)
Can't believe the poor ole thing could take the weight - cos I know i couldn't have. Now I pull it with pride!AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

It was the one on special offer from erm... Lidls. The offer has long since finished.
I haven't noticed any other good deals lately. You could scan Grabbit, or Shop but don't drop to see if there's anything.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
