Love them?I am given to understand that I have one winging its way here. Love them?Hi
I went to Lidl this morning with the express intention of buying a chic shopper if available. However, the only one there was green with tartan. Now, I know I am a granny, but at 46 I frankly prefer not to look to obviously like one. I am still revelling in the comments like "you're not old enough to have grandchildren, you look too young!" and I am making the most of such things while they are still available!
I can't afford, or justify the expense of those wonderful rolser trolleys so I am just going to have to put up with the trolley I have, which is one of the folding bag-with-wheels ones, rather than a proper trolley with a frame. I try not to use it unless I really have to, cos the wheels don't have nice soft tyres - and you can hear the trolley rumbling up the road behind me, while I pretend not to have noticed it!0 -
LOL @ Racy
I was thinking - maybe we could all print out pics of saftey pins and stick 'em to our trolleys, along with some other witticism such as "my other trolley's a Rolser" :rotfl:
In light of the fact that it's snowing here at the moment, but still trying to be somewhat stylish, I am going to wear a pair of heeled boots (they have furry tops on them)
BTW - is one allowed to put a wally-trolley in the boot of a saabMr TM has taken my car so it's lucky I put "Wal the Trol" in the garage.

Oooh - just thought - if we are all to be seen running effortlessly down a beach pulling our trol's, then we'd best head for the east coast. At least that way we can all stop off for a cuppa at MATH's "tweede huis", safe in the knowledge that he will be able to secure safe parking for our 'chariots'0

Keep checking Lidl, maybe they will get some of the better colours in soon? I know what you mean about green tartan
Have you checked any of the others in the list in the OP? There are all sort of trolleys at all sorts of prices.
Ticklemouse, I see nothing wrong with high heeled furry topped boots, A trolley and a Saab.... Of course a Jag would be better but there ya go, can't have everythingMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
Proud to be a chic shopper

Love them?Okay!! I now have to confess I bought a second one yesterday
Am going to money save a bit though as my neighbour now wants one so I am going to see if she wants to buy mine.
I really needed one when I went shopping the other day so I bought one from the market stall. It's very big and has loads of pockets on the outside and cost me £15. Only trouble was when I went to Lidl yesterday they had a black and fuchsia one and I couldn't resist it for £7.99. It's a lot smaller than the first one though. So I may keep both of them, one for small chic shopping trips and the other for Wednesday market days
Chipps we have two Lidls and I have to go out tomorrow to get some compost anyway, do you want me to have a look in ours tomorrow? What colour do you fancy, I don't mind getting one and posting it to you?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Love them? Thanks moggins, that's really kind of you. But I can probably have a look around the market stalls, as you say, the Lidl one isn't that big and I already have a small trolley (albeit noisy!) - the advantage of that one is that I can carry it to the town hidden in another shopping bag!
Mind you, on my way home today I drove past a man trailing a wicker basket trolley! Now how OS is that??!!!!
(not much good in the rain though)0 -
Well, Mr TM has seen me with "Wal". He saw me pulling it into the house and said "You didn't really walk round town with that did you?"
Me - "Of course"
Him - "well, I hope no-one who knows me saw you with it!"
I did explain that it contained 17lbs weight of meat and 5lbs of spuds as well as some other bits and bobs. He asked me was that heavyThere's obviously a man not used to carting carrier bags of food around! He'd soon appreciate it if he did
Moggins - you have the same one I have.
The only downside to my trip - my first stop was at the post office, prior to the market. I must admit to being a little embarrassed when I had to 'park' my trolley at the counter - right next to another one. However, this little blue checked number was owned by someone I can only describe as Roy Cropper's older brother, who also sported a natty pair of white socks with his blue suit trousers and brown loafers, and was wearing 'eau de B.O.' Glad I wasn't wearing an anorak, that's all I can say :rotfl: (I've posted it to MATH for pre-uniform inspection)0 -
Hate them?I wouldn't be seen dead out with my mother trailing one of these behind her :j0

Love them?Kittie,
Any sign of your chic shopper yet? I'm still waiting, probably arrive Monday, fingers crossed.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0
