Hahaha! s/e and CwtA. I love reading your banter.

I hope your dad is ok today.

I'm still laughing at the "ungainly hobble" :rotfl: :rotfl:
'slong as we're amusing someone. :)

I'd hate to think that we're annoying the hell out of other people though.

Hi folks, I hope you're all having a good .... er.... *checks calendar* Wednesday.

Raeh I was going to say about absence of butterfly rash doesn't preclude lupus, but s/e beat me to it. Mine just makes me look healthily flushed (ironic, eh?) because my natural colouring is so pale as to be ghost-like.

Sharon well done in getting through time being on your own. If it helps at all, we're with you in spirit.

I'm feeling fragile today - I had a funny turn last night, suddenly felt as if an elephant was sitting on my chest (no, before anyone says anything, it wasn't Mr LW:D). Seriously though, it was mega-painful, and I had to take a double dose of Oramorph - didn't know what else to do. :confused:It's alright, by the way, I'm allowed to take that much in extremis under the terms of my prescription. If I can continue with the metaphore, the elephant's got off me, but I can feel where it was sitting.

We've got to get up at silly o'clock tomorrow, as Mr LW has to be at the GP surgery for a blood test at 07:10. So an early night tonight, methinks.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Wolfie, please get thee to the quacks soonest and get this checked out. Chest pain and breathlessness should never be ignored. [And you know how I can nag regarding visiting docs, don't you?]

  • I'm with you s/e, you really should go to the docs with owt like that LW. Especially seeing as you felt it with that much severity. I bet it was quite frightening.

I have strange things going on all the time s/e. Like last week, twice when I woke up in the morning I had this massive rash all over my chest. Sometimes I will find it hard to breath cos every deep breath I take is accompanied by a sharp pain but none of the weird stuff happens often enough for me to go to the docs. I'm paranoid enough about being taken seriously without going all the time with little stuff. I get out of breath now even when I'm sat. For instance getting the kids ready for bed. I'll be sat down taking their top off or something and I'll be panting like I've just been running. I don't know if I'm subconsiously holding my breath like you do when you're straining to do something or it's just that small an exertion is putting a strain on me. Or maybe I just need to realise that I am a bit strange :D

  • What's Oramorph? Is it some kind of morphine tablet?

Oramorph is liquid morphine. I was on it for a while, but it wasn't very effective.

Have you ever sat down and written a full list of all your symptoms? If they were all down in one place (no matter how occasional they are), it might say more to your doc than having them spread out all over your medical notes.

I'd certainly be getting the breathlessness checked out. Do it by any chance coincide with a raise temperature? That's when I tend to experience it.
