hiya sorry not posted been to tired
the shopping trip was fun, my son took it all in his stride, one woman wasn't looking where she was going and almost fell in my lap hehe
we only stayed out an hour but it did me the world of good, went out for a fryup with the boys today, been tired the rest of the day, and trying to type out my dla forms online the last 2 days, will finish that off once i see the doctor on Tuesday, i like the idea of doing it online, saves it getting lost in the post, plus my wrist feels weak and writing becomes so hard
hi to everyone, hope you've all had relaxing 'good' days and big hugs to those that need themLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
sharon I'm glad you had a good time away this weekend
good luck for tomorrow, I hope they can do something to help you with your breathing. Even though I dont come on here too often now to read, I still think of you often and will be thinking of you tomorrow xx
pcl i wont try to answer your relationship question as i got totally confused :rotfl:
auntie axe my work/life balance is going well thank you. I definately feel worse the less i do? no point laying around feeling sorry for myself with the pain as its still there no matter what and actually doing more helps mobility wise, as long as i pace things and rest after work [ laptop=rest;)]ive been going to bed earlier as im tired doing more, which means i sleep better and wake earlier?
i hope you can sort out a trip to visit your aunt and cousin. your new house sounds lovely and i hope you sort out your BB soon x
Toothsmith thank you, your posts were interesting and as cwta said it was good to read from the 'dentists' side of things... work done , payment should be made. I wouldnt go to work and expect to be paid just 'whenever'!
hello to everyone else i hope you have all had a good weekend and its been sunny, i made sure i posted as i probably wont get around to 'checking in' for another week with work

Decided to write a list of all the things i cannot do, and all the things that hurt me now, so i can hand this to my doctor on Tuesday, she knows i am ill and has been for quite some time, but i think she needs to know how bad life has become for me.
Do you think thats a good idea?Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
Sharon :hello: You ok love? (all considering)
Raeh, you really need to start considering your limitations honey. I'm not meaning to overstep the mark with you but I think we have all noticed (back me up here guys!) you are finding things more difficult.
Bz, take it easy chick! You need all your energy for looking beautiful on your big day!
Pcl, thanks love. It has settled down. Thanks for the info RE the car tax.
SS, Sounds like you're getting off to a good start.Pcl's suggestion of a dictaphone is a fantastic one! I asked if I could do that at uni and they said they didn't think the lecturers would have a problem with it but I didn't go through with it as I felt a fraud. Don't feel the same way as me cos I'm sure I could have finished my degree if I had taken similar steps. Good luck love!
Pap, i'll say the same again. It's a great idea. I kept a record for a month when I was tired of not getting anywhere and when I presented my list of symptoms, he knew straightaway I had fibro! (after looking at my history and tests) It's really hard to remember pain and symptoms when they change so much on a daily basis so keeping a record is a good thing.
Hope everyone else had a good weekend.
I'm currently getting myself involved in something I really shouldn't but as usual I can't help myself and won't let people be intimidated by others even though I'm notn equipped to stop any of the violence that is going to ensue!0 -

kass i was saying that things are good at the moment and im feeling better [in myself mentally?] when im doing more, rather than lying about thinking about the pain?

Mornings
raeh I'm glad things are going well for you and you are feeling more "up". The sunny weather healps doesn't it. I'm pleased that you still pop your head in every now and again between competitions *g*.
pap That's a super idea of writing out symptoms - little things that come and go are easy to forget when they're superceded by something more painful iyswim. s/e who used to be around kept a diary of how she felt and what her symptoms were on a daily basis - helps with any IB claims etc as well as medical appointments.
SS I wonder if there is some organisation that helps students with medical problems even if it's only a list of things like you suggest. Could you contact the National Union of Students to see if they can suggest anything/anyone/anywhere in terms of resources?
Or maybe even try giving DIAL a call?
pcl How are you things morning sweet pea? I hope you have a good day planned.
I need to go back to the old flat today to pick up cleanng materials etc. Hope it's the last time - I'm really reluctant to set foot in the door again, I hate it so much.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
purplecatlover wrote: »re the friend thing, i do agree that men think about it more and are more likely to try it on if boundaries are not set etc. what i dont get is why that means its not possible to be friends just in case they try it on. the implication my friend is making is that any man will try it on with any female regardless of the females wishes just because they think about it and it has nothing to do with finding them attractive. which is kind of icky as that means she thinks her father will try it on with me just because he is a man and i am a woman and therefore he wants to sleep with me. i cant see that logic, and i think its unfair to assume that no man can cope with a platonic relationship just because he is a man.have been away for a lovely weekend-was my 50th birthday pressie from may and have had a relaxing time.Hotel was beautiful and dinner last night was out of this world. My breathing seems to be getting more wheezy -got my broncoscopy tomorrow morning so maybe once results are back they will be able to help with.
We have had some thunderery type rain -so hoping we dont get another storm!Decided to write a list of all the things i cannot do, and all the things that hurt me now, so i can hand this to my doctor on Tuesday, she knows i am ill and has been for quite some time, but i think she needs to know how bad life has become for me.
Do you think thats a good idea?
I've had a very busy weekend. We tidied up the garden a lot, and now have 4 bags of garden refuse to go to the tip this afternoon (Mr LW is on early shift today, so working from home and finishing at 15:30). I can't find a single bit of me that doesn't ache big time. I really, really have to learn not to do the bull-at-a-gate thing at weekends.
Kass please, please summon every bit of courage you can find and get those teeth sorted. I do understand how you feel (been there myself) but you really do need to get something done. Tbh, I went down the route of having the whole darned lot taken out (they were all crumbling away anyway), which I am not saying is the "right" way to go, but you can't go on leaving it forever.
Hope everyone is having a good Monday - and staying cool!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
aww LW take it easy sounds like you've over done it, you'll loose spoons for that you know you will, i'm looking at the living room floor, it's filthy but the vacuum is upstairs and the though of dragging it downstairs it too much
