bz they are fabulous. i really like them, well done.

    raeh have a good flop.

sue hope you got something sorted re the wheel chair.

s/e i dont know how you manage to keep the garden going. im scared to even look out the back door this year (and dont have to since cats now have flap), weeds grow far too fast and the jap knotwood goes from nothing to 6ft tall in a couple of weeks, nasty stuff.

careful sounds like a nice meal is to be had, enjoy.

my shopping consisted mostly of reduced easter eggs and cat food. i knew it was a bad idea to do it online when they would be reduced but hey they keep forever dont they? hopefully the shoppping will come at the start of the hour so i can squeeze a nap in before vets.
  • s/e sounds like the heather has a strong survival instinct! I'll pray for it *g*
This lot seems to have (so far) - can't say the same for the last 2 lots I destroyed. but there's still plenty of time for me to kill it off yet.

bz the invites and order of service are gorgeous :D you are one clever girlie ;)

auntie axe kids have both gone off with mates to numerous parks around here  so now i feel all redundant :( im glad they can be out though in decentish weather and burn off some energy... i just cant understand all this about making kids excercise  wish mine would sit still occasionally lol thank goodness for the trampoline

i sometimes have trouble stepping out of our front door  - its rather a big step down for a [STRIKE]short @rse [/STRIKE] smaller person like myself .... i have nagged dh endlessly to build a step but hes 6 foot so doesnt matter to him  - and this morning i kind of left my foot in the door whilst holding the frame and stepping down with the other one? and the wind caught the door and trapped my foot :( its turning the most wonderful colours at the moment so im hoping this will encourage him to consider a step :p

pcl im very tempted to nip out and treat myself to a reduced egg :p i could just eat some chocolate, do you think the kids would miss a couple? hope you manage a nap

cwta it was the wheelchair, not the scooter :D I now have a picture in my head of a scooter on a stairlift too:D

I forgot about option 3, give dd the money and shopping list and leave her to it. It's so much easier and safer than trying to get wheelchair downstairs :D

    :hello:Hello all.

Well, I've just read through 5 pages of posts since i was last online - so much going on with you guys one way and another, I'm not up to replying to it all, but I hope you are all having a good day, and that the various events in your lives are going well.

Overdid it over the weekend (of course); went to the market Saturday, had to buy extra fruit'n'veg, as we won't be able to go next weekend because Mr LW has to work all weekend.

Did a baking marathon, too - bread rolls, apple pie, veggie mince & mushroom pie, and carrot & orange cake.:o

Mr LW has just rung to inform me that we are going to dinner at TGI Friday next Monday, and we have appointments to 1) get the car checked over prior to going on holiday at the end of May and 2) visit the audiologist to get my hearing aid tweaked on April 30th (He has leave for Beltane that day).

I feel cream crackered just thinking about it all. So I think I'll go sit in the corner and chew a slipper.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention, the Lindt runny babbit was delicious!

  • You have hurt your foot and you ASK if you need chocolate raeh. The GP would definately prescribe it in your case! It sounds painful, have you tried hot and cold compresses to help?

bz, just read somewhere that they advise you change your toothbrush after you've had any kind of tonsil or sinus infection so that there is poss of the germs being transferred back once you have recovered - thought you might like to know.

Weedkiller, strimmer and hedgetrimmer. And lots of plants to hopefully crowd out the weeds.

Believe me, my garden is nothing special - everything that's in the beds is put in, watered in and then given 2 choices. It can live or die. I don't do what a lot of people do, and water every couple of day. It can put down roots or turn up its toes. It's amazing what will choose to live under those circs. ;)

now see i really like a pretty garden, but someone else has to do the work lol. i can manage the weedkiller, sort of, as long as the weeds are not so scary i cant get myself near them. last year i got gardeners in to tidy it all up and leave me a patch of mud. i meant to get them back to put nice, low maintenance plants in but didnt. and by low maintenance i meant will live and thrive with nmothing done by me and with cats eating and digging round them.
  • pcl, could you manage with gravel? You only have to do the occasional bit of weeding and can pop plants in or not as you like. If yo get the pea shingle, it's small enough not to be unever underfoot. You could spread the cost by buying a bag at a time when you have a little spare - if ever!
lw your baking marathon sounded scrummy - do you need a lodger?! Where the chuffing heck is Beltane?
Ahh, just realised - where's it being held?!
