cwta I must agree with Trailia, yes constipation can be that painful, I collapsed with the pain and was rushed to hospital and put on morphine last year, it was the day after Id had a biopsy taken of my bladder though and the docs reckoned it was an infection, then the biospy and the constipation, my stomach swelled up like I was 9 months pregnant it still brings me out in a cold sweat now when I think of it. The pain didnt go until after they'd given me a ....cant remember what its called but it did the trick, Im sure someone will know what Im on about lol

suep and pcl it wouldn't let me in at first, until I realised it was case sensitive. Are you sure you're putting the capital(s) in?

suep I just read Stone Heart by Charlie Fletcher and can highly recommend it. I'm waiting for sister to gimme the next one (Iron Heart i think?) so I can continue with the story, it's like a trilogy I think.

cwta I'm with trialia on this one - I have IBS on both ends of the spectrum and neither are pleasant! Both painful but in slightly different ways and constipation can have me writhing on the floor/bed in agony not able to do a sodding thing about it.

pcl have you not learnt that there's no such thing as tmi on here?? it was interesting to hear what you've been up to and I didn't realise/remember you did pilates....and then you say you're in awe of how much we might get up to in a day??? there's no way I'd have whatever it took to do pilates!!

s/e nice to see you. glad you got over the lump in your throat from my heinous offense and found your way back to us, it's good of you ;):p

I don't know what's happened to my capital use, but I obv can't be bothered. my arms are aching just holding them to type, so I'll stop... for a while. ;)

its quite possible i never said, i had stopped doing anything when i joined you all and its only the last 6 weeks or so i have picked things up again and slowly at that. but if i was doing anything else id not manage the classes too, if i go out twice in one day or go more than one place, its unusual.

this is why i get so annoyed when people decide that people who dont use caps are unintelligent and not worth listening too and ignorant. no one can tell the reason why someone isnt using them, its not fair to assume and judge that everyone is able to and just being lazy by not. ( i on the other hand am just lazy, it takes me far to long to figure out were keys are if i try and use shift and then i get annoyed with myself for typing too slowly and give up all together, not that im impatient or anything).

hope the arms feel better soon though, maybe a good nights sleep if possible?

You have a point there pcl and I hadn't thought about it like that tbh. I'm a bit of a grammar freak (all my mum's fault, an English teacher who used to freak out at every wrong apostrophisation (on shop fronts etc) and double negative (that I used) etc, so now it's inbuilt) so it does bug me when I see things that aren't right, but more in the official sense - like official communications etc - and when people use unnecessary "text speak", you know, like the "youngsters" use ;) I don't just mean abbreviating things, but when they go out of their way to add in different letters and stuff and it actually takes twice as long to type  I just don't get it. No way should "that" become "dat". :naughty: I don't think they're unintelligent or not worth listening to though, it just bugs me ;) I used to be way more bothered than I am now though, like I told the CMHT bloke, any obsessions I used to have before I got this ill I don't have the energy for anymore!! :rotfl:

it bugs me on official things as well, i only ever notice other peoples typos on official letters and such like. i wont start on text speak, i dont get that either. i really seriously think its wrong that they now do not penalise in gcse/a-level for bad spelling, bad grammar or use of text speak (or so i heard a couple of years ago, to go with the banning of using red pens to mark things wrong). and thats saying something coming from me given how glad i was uni essays could be typed and therefore i had the advantage of spell checker to stop me loosing that 5 % of marks.

    good morning.
  • Good morning pcl, that was short and sweet!
I'm impressed with the Pilates too. My Physio said they are the best kind of exercise for peope like usas the core strength is the most importang thing and other muscles fitness depends on and comes from that. It's pilates type exercises we do in the Hydrotherapy pool - the bonus being as there's no weight bearing and the pool is blood temp, you get very tired, but not stiff.
I got woken early today, but I hd that long nap yesterday so tis not a disaster. Had anothe real anxiety dream that was a very emotional one which has left me with that dream hangover and made me sad.
Am viewing this house for rent today at 2.30pm. Have been thinking of possible things I can do to secure it if it's suitable - maybe lodging a bond, paying some rent up in advance or sommat and these would all help me negotiate the rent down.
It is at the top of my budget and I know there are some downsides like a fairly busy road outside that gets really congested at commuter times.
Ah well, what will be will be as sharon said and I, too believe things happen for a reason.
At least time is on my side unlike when bz was looking.

  • p.s. I use my Dad's address to stay with my surgery. It's never been a problem and I figure I'm unlikely to have to call out a doctor and, if I did, it's a locum service that holds the contract for out of hours service. Someone can be taken ill whilst not at home iyswim.

  • it seems im kind of short on words today. good luck with the viewing and negociating. only other thing i can think of that might help isbz's idea to offer a 2 year lease instead of the standard 6/12 months. if its right it will happen, if not somethign else will show up and work.

there are a couple of ladies in my class (also in my aqua aerobics classes) who have fibro, and have said the same thing, the pool is great for support and pilates is good for balance and core strength. going back after 4 months of no exercise meant that both knackered me, whereas last year when i was doing step too i thought aqua and pilates were easy (but i didnt go form no exercise and i was hypomanic when i launched into everything so i got a lot more fit before i realised how hard i was working). sadly both are leaving and going to other gyms.
