careful do put it in writing, might not make much difference though. they *should* be confirming with gp rather than denying to dispense two contra indicated medicines, but and its a big but, its the pharmacist who gets in most trouble if they dispense drugs that shouldnt be taken together as all the gp has done is write the prescriptions. was the same when i was nursing, if i gave out the wrong dose or medicine, even if it was according to doctors instructions it was me who was in the crap not the doctor who prescribed it.0

pcl, thanks, I do understand but one is an anti-emetic medicine and the other is an antidiarrhoeal where there's no contra-indication. I am, however, on an acute dose of the antidiarrhoeal, so they should be putting the script in front of gp for signature each time I order it.
The woman in the queue behind me also had problems, they had issued her with twice he normal dosage of Thyroxin!
Come on you two, I'm waiting to hear how bz got on at the vet and how Charlie got on at the GP *g*I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

GP took issue with my wanting to put the tongue bar back in, but I think it was more from a personal agenda than medical advice. Just said there was lots of reasons why a tongue could swell up  I'm going with the tonsilitis (which yes I do have now on top of the sinusitis) and dehydration for the moment. If it turns out that the tongue bar is in anyway affecting my health then of course I'll leave it out. Might have to get that tattoo on my foot I've been pondering over if I do have to thoI told him that I worked out it was spasms that had caused the foot pain and he was interested, asked me what it looked like etc, and gave it a fancy name...which of course I can't remember  So, yet more (different) antirobotics and stocked up on everything else I take regularly while I was there. Forgot that the Ami that works best for me needs to be from Asda pharmacy (which I normally avoid like the plague as they're incompetent nincompoops!) rather than Sainsbury's where I went today (as it's quicker). Dammit.
We were gonna go to the Trafford Centre today to look around at suits, but DF is not feeling well either and we were both hungry and wanted showers etc so said we'd go home and eat and such and then look at the invites (which I'm desperate to get finalised, not least so I can send on to my aunt before it's too late) but so far we haven't looked at them.... we're both knackered and weary though so might opt for early to bed. We do have the long Easter weekend I spose...
Hope everyone's ok...I'm not sure who posted what now and tbh I'm too tired to check, so sorry if I've missed anything/one important...apart from you all of course

bz, I think the prob with the tongue stud is it's such a potential site for bacteria to get stored and multiply. Maybe if you use a saline mouthwash twice a day as well as the antibiotics? I can't honestly see a doc thinking of anything other than the medical aspect of it, but then I don't know your doc. So you've got tonsilitis as well as the sinus trouble? Anything else??!
:j:T On banking the cheques!! Tax Return will be a doddle now
Trialia, is it IBS cramps?! If they're that bad do you need to call a doc??I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Hi all, just a quick up-date cos I is knackerooned!
Vet said Charlie is well underweight and it could be one of three things for his eye's. Two are cat flu and one is herpes. Got some cream for his eye's and medicine for his belly. She showed me where to feel for his ribs and said you shouldn't be able to feel them but we could so it's not good. I've gotta take him back in a week for checking over again.
She said she couldn't see any signs of a flea infestation and didn't want to give him anything unecessary cos he is so little and fragile. He only weighs half a kilo!
Got my neice tomorrow so don't know when I will be on but will try and catch up with you all tomorrow

kass, poor little mite. So it's a case of trying to feed him up with little and often? Trouble with kits is they burn off so many calories because they love to play. You must be worried. I'll see if I can search out any info/articles that might be of support to you, but it will be tomorrow as my brain is all kerfluey now.
Thank for letting us know even though you are tired - the little chap has been on my mind!
Hope you both sleep well tonight.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
