Hi there and post away.......:D;)
Yes loads have been successful even waiting that long and longer.
One of mine taken about 14-15 months, then all sorted out through the FOS.
Good luck with yours, and there is no harm in chasing them up now and again for an update. Fingers crossed.
Thank you so much :AThrilled to be DEBT-FREE as of 26.03.10

please forgive my ignorance but could someone explain to me the following charge my ppi cliam incurred when the company acting for me sent the final bill to me...
I took out a loan in 2005 and was informed that the loan couldn't go ahead unless I purchased ppi..... I recently instructed a company specialising in ppi recovery to act for me on this matter....
I have had an offer from the loan people for a refund of premiums paid in so far... no problem... 25% plus V.A.T of this refund (I assumed) would be my fee to the company acting for me.... not the case....
the company say that if I had continued to pay the monthly ppi fee for the remaining length of the loan, this amount too would be calculated into their 25% fee - making it almost the amount the refund is....
I could have cancelled the ppi anyway and saved this amount every month - seems strange to pay 25% of something that I won't be paying anyway.... ?
help :eek:0 -
hi all just another question please, i have put in a claim to fp, turns out it was brokered so sent claim to brokers five weeks ago but heard nothing yet. so fos said to try and go for the insurer. which is cassidy davies, and i ave received a form from lloyds to fill in as they apparently deal with the complaint. my question is do i just do a missold form to loyds and they deal with it from there? its all so confusing!!!0

Hi Lucie
Hope your well.:)
Yeah that does sound confusing, however, think Marshallka may be able to help you on this one, think she may have had dealings with these too, hopefully she will be along soon to give you some advice on this one.
Fingers crossed for you. XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi all,
A claim my parents had against Norton Finance for miss-sold single premium PPI was upheld by the adjuicator assigned to the case; Norton appealed the decision and we are currently awaiting the final decision.
Does anybody know if the ombudsman is notified of the original decision or does he/she start with a 'clean slate'?
We've been waiting about 8months at this stage and I've sent a hardship letter on parents behalf (my mum had a minor stroke last year so down to one salary + other debt issues which they are with CCCS with) but the reply said that due to the nature of the claim there are many others in a similar position.
I guess I'm looking for a bit of reassurance that as the original adjuicator found in our favour the chief ombudsman *should* as well!
Does anybody know how often original decisions are over-ruled?
Thanks0 -

Hi there
Blimey I am so sorry to hear of all your issues here and hope your mum is okay and recovering from the stroke, its a scary experience isn't it, the same happened with dad a few months back, so I can understand how you feel, my thoughts are with you.
So I take it this is with the first adjudicator at this stage?
Normally if this is the case then they will move your case on to a ombudsman who will look through the case again, but this is procedure, so not to worry.
Hopefully they will move this on quicker as well, they will certainly consider this.
Good luck please keep us posted.:)
