PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

I wonder if anyone can help me? I am thinking of reclaiming PPI on an MBNA credit card, I've had the PPI since 2005 and have been a director of a limited company all that time. As I now understand it, the PPI does not cover self employment; does anyone know if this includes being director of a limited company?
Thanks.0 -
Hi
I opened a complaint against the clydesdale in August 09 for a loan i took out in 2002 and was paid off in 2007 and they offered me £439 (interest only) i declined this and contacted the ombudsman
i recieved a letter from the ombudsmen last week which i have detailed below
I am pleased to let you know that following our involvement, Clydesdale Bank Plc has now agreed to make an offer to settle your client’s complaint in line with the approach that we take when we decide that a consumer has been mis-sold a PPI policy
i have signed the aggreement and posted it back to them the ombudsmen say i should receive my refund within 8 weeks
my question is will the bank again try delaying tactics or will they have to pay my refund in full
Brilliant, well done and Congratulations.

Normally after you sign the acceptance form, call it about a month for them to pay out, if you receive nothing by then, chase them up, it may be genuine due to the amount of backlogs of refunds they are all dealing with as well.
Hope you receive your money very soon, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Disco Dave;)
I would check your terms and conds of the policy as some do actually cover for self employment, this varies from one bank to another so do check this out.
However, check this link below for more information with guidelines of reclaiming and please ask for help if you require this anytime, good luck.

Thanks. I think I'll send off a SAR, if I'm going to ask for a copy of the PPI agreement guess I may as well go the whole hog and ask for everything.0

As an update, got a letter from BoS on Wednesday regarding my AA Loan ppi.
PPI paid to date - £2,645.30
Interest on PPI to date - £1,204.06
8% interest - £564.57
Total to be repaid - £4,413.93 !!! Which is pretty much what I calculated, give or take a few quid.
They say I'll get the cheque in next 28 days. They've also confirmed that my loan balance and monthly payment will be reduced (to the amount I calculated - £90 less per month!).
Very happy with this, be even happier when the cheque clears and I can clear my credit card and overdraft!!! :j
So far -
1st letter sent 5th Nov
Holding letter rec'd 16th Nov
Confirmation of agreement to repay rec'd 11th Dec
Breakdown of payment rec'd 13th Jan
Cheque expected 8th Feb(?)
Thanks again MSE'ers :T
I love Friday post(I work from home Fridays) - this morning I received my cheque for £4,413.93 and a letter confirming the £90 reduction in my loan payment from February!!!
I had just been poring over my online account, working out how many pounds and pence I could spare for diesel until payday.
I am going to walk 2 miles into town at lunchtime just to pay it in. :j
Final thanks again to all who've helped, and a big good luck and keep perservering to all who are currently and planning to claim. :T0 -
