Hi sorry for not reading your post in that you said that your loan was repaid after a year....

Is the amount they offered including the "statutory" interest? Also as this is lower than your actual premium then this "may" have been all you actually paid against the PPI and the rest was refunded/rebated from your settlement figure. You really need a breakdown of the amount and also ask the FOS to check this is correct too.

    hi Claire,

you paid the loan / ppi for 12 months - total £4316.04 ( £1272.96 is the PPI element) on the redemption you paid £17400 - which is approximately £1200 over - so a proportion of that will be loan interest and a proportion will be PPI - I'm not sure how they will have worked it out though - do you still have your redepmtion letter?

No and I have had offer today!!! £3396.96!!!
Brill thanks for your offer of help though its been much appreciated

the monthly premium of £432.61, was that inclusive of the PPI as well as the loan premium? and how much did you pay back on early redemption?
  • Hi All,
has anyone any info on how long Barclays take to pay out on PPI reclaim? They agreed to repay me (having gone through FOS Adjudicator). Sent my signed agreement and they rec'd it (according to Adjudicator) on Oct 14th. It is now 6 WEEKS and still nothing. I have spoken to Barclays London office on a number of occasions and was told it was in the system. They even gave me the figure which sounded about right. I was told a letter should have gone to me on Nov 10th (but I rec'd nothing). Was told that the amount probably needed final authorisation (this was when I rang on Nov 20th!). I have been chasing and chasing and have written again to Ombudsman a couple of Days ago (and e-mailed) to try and get some action. It seems I am just being fobbed off and, with bills mounting, I am beginning to think they are not going to pay at all. Is this the case? Can Barclay's now go back on their written offer of settlement which I have accepted? It seems to me that 'winning' a case is just the start of a long drawn out battle to actually see the cash. Has anyone else had all this hassle with Barclay's???? If they have a lot of cases then they should just get more staff! I bet our Bank Charges rejections happen in days! Sorry for length of post. I'm running out of hair to tear out!! Good Luck everyone.
