I know what you mean the last of my loans was used to payoff an exiting loan, and the thing is I had to pay off the previous PPI making the new loan higher than it should have been and adding more interest and making the new loan PPI even higher than it would have been had I not needed to pay off the previous loan PPI.....oh no I've gone cross eyed !

That is the question though...by that rule, sure one loan was paid off early...but not the second (which was the last one as well) so why would they apply the early payoff deduction thing to this one?

I cant think of anything else!
  • Hi, I hope someone may be able to advise me......

I complained to Shop Direct with regards a Littlewoods and Choice account which both had 'account cover plus' added to them and which I believe I have been mis-sold. Eventually passed to FOS and both have been returned and I have been told I now have to pursue the actual insurers. However, surely the 'Mis-selling' part of my complaint is when the policy was sold to me over the phone by sales advisers working from a script who didn't fully explain what was included/excluded etc etc. The actual insurers arent the ones that mis-sold the policies to me, it was the sales advisers from Littlewoods and Choice. How can I complain to the actual insurers when it is not them at fault???
I am confused, FOS have informed me that they have already outlined my complaint to the insurers. I have now received a letter from one of them (AIG) stating they do not have details of which company or department within AIG my complaint is against and asking me to supply a claim number or copy of letter received from their complaints department....huh???
Do I just send them copies of my original complaint against Shop Direct and all the correspondence with regards to that as I have no claim number or any previous letters from AIG.
....and if I beleive that it was Shop Direct that did the mis-selling, how can I complain to the insurers themselves? or are they just likely to keep passing my complaint back and forth?
So confused now!!! Can anyone help??

Mojo-jojo the reason this has gone to the insurers is probably because this insurance was added before 2005.
Send whatever you can to AIG and take it from there.

Explain to the insurers in a letter that it was PPI (account cover plus) added to your Littlewoods account back in whatever year. I suspect that they have a dept solely to deal with this.

    Good luck.
If you see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck !!!!!! :D

Is 8% a standard that all of these companies are offering or do they vary?

Hi there, I used to think it was standard, but it does not seem the case for all. So it must vary.;)
