Hi the 8% is from the County Courts Act 1984 (becasue you've been unlawfully deprived of money, this is what a court would award !) and should be calculated on a 'daily rate basis' ie for each premium paid you take the amount x that by the .0002222 (to get 8%) then times it by the number of days since you paid the premium - if you go onto the bank charges reclaim forum there is a calcuatator on there (ie you just feed in the premium amount and the date paid and it works it all out for you) - I've had a number of companies 'trying it on' in terms of the 8% but if you work it out yourself you'll know how much they should be paying back

Is this calculater under the heading "court interest calculator"?...

    Hi all

Just a quick question if I may.

How long, in peoples experience, does it take for a PPI claim refund to be credited to your account once the lender has received the accepted offer paperwork?

Just curious as I posted my acceptance forms off two weeks ago and have heard nothing and not had any credits to my accounts.

    Any advice most appreciated!

    Thanks for the reply!

I may have made a fatal error in sending the documents back standard 1st class, the 'enclosed envelope' was not present so I marked it FAO the investigator and sent to the address at top of letter so am now fearful it may have been 'lost'.

I've got copies of the forms but do not want another drawn out process!

Will wait the 28 days then go from there!

I'm sure it will all be okay.
You could also ring them to make sure as well if you want to, I'm sure they will have to confirm if this have reached them.;)
We have all made these mistakes, it will be okay. X
