    HI ALL,

I AM GETTING SO FRUSTRATED WITH HFC, I SENT MY 1ST RECLAIM LETTER ON 26TH NOV 08 TO RECLAIM PPI ON A LOAN FROM 2003, I HAD 2 LETTERS FROM THEM 2ND & 29TH DEC 08 ADV LOOKING INTO MATTER, AND THE LAST FEW WEEK I CLD THEM AND THEY ADVISED WAITING FOR PAPERWORK FROM THE BRANCH.

JUST CALLED THEM TODAY AND SAY INFO IS ARCHIVED AND COULD TAKE ANOTHER MONTH:mad:

WHAT GETS ME IS THAT I MADE A CLAIM FOR SAME ON ANOTHER LOAN IN OCT 08 AND IT TOOK THEM JUST 5 WEEKS TO SETTLE FOR EXACT SAME THING.

COMPLAINT ADVISOR SAID ON THE LETTER I RECEIVED COULD GO TO FOS AND I REPLIED NOT HAD A LETTER SAYING THAT AND THAT IF I HAD THAT WOULD OF INCLUDED THEIR FINAL RESPONSE:rolleyes: . AND AS I HAVE NOT HAD A FINAL RESPONSE LETTER ARE UNABLE TO TAKE TO FOS.

DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD NOW THREATEN COURT PROCEEDINGS AS FOS ARE NOW TAKING SEVERAL MONTHS TO DEAL WITH COMPLAINTS.

    I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY COMMENTS.

    ROCK ON

What year is this, I had a reply from HFC in two weeks for an account in 2003.

Yeah Dreamer, unlike our wonderful people on here, they don't do it for nothing. To go this route would be to pass it onto someone else, but it's nothing that we can't do for ourselves and looking at it realistically, you are still going to have to supply info etc to them, which they will then charge 30%+. It's just that incipience has posted that it wouldn't be long until companies would be advertising fighting ppi's, and I was just confirming.;)

Companies like this have been about for a few years now, what I meant was that the whole no win no fee industry is about to change, in that they will be true no win no fee, without ANY fees whatsoever.

There are some things going on at the moment that will allow for better representation of Consumers in such matters
  • Thanks Incipience Will Get Letter Off Now.

Bit New To This And Apreciate Your Advice Very Much
  • Really need to set up my own site, to deal with all these issues :-)

The claim that made that took 5 weeks in Oct 08 was for PPI on a loan I had in 2004.

This current claim that is taking so long is for PPI on a loan from 2003.

Also if you change your mind after 14 days and decide you don't want to use them I think you may well have to pay some sort of fee.

You could do this yourself or pm petermb
    Whats petermb company called?

Working using the "access to justice".

I know one that is actually a "solicitors" that works this way.

Using no middle man or claims company of any sort.

You just cannot be too careful. I would want their claims management number and also the NAME of the solicitors they are using etc. At least going straight to solicitors seems safer...
