If you're not happy with the offer they are making you then you can always ask for more. If they've offered you something it's usually because they know they are "in the wrong" and they are now negociating with you to limit their losses. In my experience (of claiming back credit card charges), it takes a letter rejecting the first offer before they pay up in full.
Make sure that you point out the interest you want has increased (because it's taken to take longer to settle) - so attach an updated calculation of charges. You could also say something like:
I hereby give you 21 days from the date of this letter to refund the charges by cheque. For the avoidance of doubt, if this is not done within 21 days, I will commence my claim in the courts without further warning. This action will inevitably involve you in paying additional costs i.e. solicitors’ fees. Please note interest will continue to accrue until the date of judgement or earlier settlement.
Hope this helps:AIgnorance can be cured, but stupid is forever!:A

Hi Chellie, that is correct with what Marshallka have stated, if you require the figures later on, you can just write to ask that they post you a full detailed breakdown through the post.
You will find template letters in stages on this link here hun, any prbs let us know.;)

Hi Paul,
I would contact the FOS for an update, to find out where you are at this time.
I know they do have a long list, but as soon as your case is moved on to the adjudicator, it straight forward the norm is approx 6 weeks, if this case becomes too complexed then it can take longer.
Hopefully yours will be straight forward, fingers crossed and get in touch with the FOS for an update.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I've just discovered that I am paying what appears to be 2 PPI amounts against 1 loan. I did take out PPI on a loan 3 years ago and was under the impression that this was set up as an additional DD which was taking £9.95 a month from my account. I've just found out that I have PPI within the amount that I pay against my loan as well so feel that this is a clear case of being mis-sold as I was completely unaware that I had PPI within the loan.
Does this count as being mis-sold, and if so how do I go about claiming and for which PPI would it be best to claim against?
Thanks for any replies0 -

Hello there.;)
It seems you have a case here - going by what you said.
You write to the ones who arranged and sold you the loan, with your reasons of mis selling, do not worry about writing the amounts down.
They have 8 weeks to respond in full
Keep at them until they resolve in your favour, sometimes you are given the opportunity to write back to them again, so until you receive the final decision keep at them.
In the final decision they should enclose details of the finanial ombudsman service (FOS), you can take your complaint to these if your not happy with the outcome.
On the link below you will find useful information/templates and a mis selling list, you can use the templates if you want to or as a guide, with your reasons of how you believe you were mis sold.

I phoned asking for a true copy of my credit agreement last week (I actually phoned to ask where to send the letter & was told as I held all my accounts with them they were happy to comply over the phone) & decided today just to phone again to confirm this was being processed & was told it could take a while to find it, when I pointed out they only had 12 days there was a bit of panic as I got my credit card in 1988! To cut a long story short I came home tonight to customer service calls from my bank offering to lower the interest on my cc, another to say my true copy would be with me next Friday & another to say as a highly valued customer would I like a 0% balance transfer? Has anyone else experienced this? None of this will stop me reclaiming my PPI. I don't think they have phoned me in about 5 years & 3 calls in one night!0
