PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

we have bought windows in 2006,salesmen from zenith has sold us insuranse policy,as well as loan with GEmoney(whom we currently paying money to)
I've written a letter to GEmoney telling that i been mos-sold..
Unfortunately i do not feel this is a complaint we can satisfactorily investigate..
This is because, although GEmoney provided the finance that paid for the payment protection policy,it was not GE money who sold policy to you it was Zenith Windows.
Since your complaint is abobe the advice you were given and as GE money is not present at point of sale, you should contact the supplier,Zenith Windows, and ask to investigate your complaint...
I hope they will be able to resolve your complaint for you..Our internal complaints procedure is now exhausted and this letter represents out final re sponse..As such you are now entitled to refer this matter either the finance and leasing association or the financial ombusman..

Hi Deano
Not heard of Micro-loans myself sorry.
HFC as you will know are quite popular lol especially when it comes to mis selling on PPI.
You will also find out this on the success thread as well next to this thread.
I for one lacked knowledge in regards of PPI and always thought it was part of the loan as automatic, but you should defo try to reclaim here.
If you don't mind us asking what year did you take out your loan with HFC?
Found an article write up here:

Hi,
I had a loan out with them which I started in feb 2002
Loan Amount : 3000.00
Intrest : 1275.36 APR 27.7 %
Total sum : 4275.36
Over 36 monthly instalments of 118.36
Optional Credit Protection Insurance
Total Cash Price: 486.97
Interest: 206.76 APR 27.7 %
Total Sum: 693.72
Over 36 monthly instalments of 19.27
I also have another account with the Household Bank which i think was a credit card.which i believe i started in DEC 2004.
I cant tell from the statments if I have any kind of payment protection, but it does say on the back of the statment in the blurrb Payment Protection will be the first repayment repaid???? so really don't konw!!
Just wondering should i send one letter for the loan and one letter for the credit card? or just send one letter with both accounts?
Both these loans have been consolidated into another loan for some time.
does this matter?
Sorry again for the long post
cheers deano0 -

I would call them and ask them if they were the intermediary in the sale of the insurance.0 -

Send 2 seperate letters, a couple of days apart, as they are seperate complaints, this means you will have to seperate complaints going back to the FOS if need be.
However as you are unsure it maybe better to get copies of your credit agreements first.0 -

But how do you ask them this? Sorry im rally rubbish at writing letters..
But i would image so,because the folder containing all paperwork got GEmoney and Zenith written all over it..;)Good Luck Everyone!:beer:0 -
Further to your letter dated XXXXXX
Reference: XXXXXXX (account number)
I note your response, however I would like further clarification in your role in this transaction. So as to better understand the situation, you referred to the fact that you were the lender in the transaction, could you please clarify as to whom was the intermediary for the insurer in the sale of this policy, and also who the insurer was.
Respectfully.

Do i need to include the actual letter?
Actually is this normal to pay interest on top of interest?
I mean our monthly figure we're paying keep changing, and then on top of it we paying 19-20% interest.?Good Luck Everyone!:beer:0 -

Thanks for your quick reply.
I have the personal loan agreement for loan but will send of for the credit agreement for the credit card.
Is there a template for getting a credit agreement from the banks?

Dear Sir/Madam,
Account No. XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Please send me a copy of the signed credit agreement between XXXXX and myself. As I’m sure you are aware, under the obligations of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 you have a duty to supply this but in doing so are entitled to make a charge. Therefore I enclose a cheque for the statutory sum of £1.00.
In closing may I thank for your time and I look forward to hearing from you in due course.
Yours sincerely0
